I enter my food manually. One because I am a student and I can't afford their meal plan, and two because planning it yourself gives room for more tasty treats... of course that are good for you. And welcom mini me. You will love it here at Sparkpeople.

I definitely plan my own meals! I agree with everyone else, it does give you an idea of what to eat! The most important thing I have discovered for me and pretty much everyone else, is you need to eat often! Obviously eat good things, fiberous carbs instead of starchy carbs, raw fruits and veggies are the most nutritious, and lots of water! This keeps your metabolism up. I mean if you give your stomach something to do often through out your day...then it is constantly burning and digesting food, thus keeping energy up and metabolism up! It truly has helped me alot! Keeping insulin spikes at bay is important!emoticon

Ditto, I definitely plan my own meals, especially since I have a very restrictive diet. BUT if you think you need a little extra guidance and don't mind following their plan, go for it, because I know it's worked for some people! Couldn't hurt to try right?! WELCOME!

hi mini, i'm with joanie, i plan my own meals..i find the meals here restrictive..but they due give you and idea of what to eat..welcome...

Body: two parts:
1. Drop to 110lbs and maintain.
2. Loose 2 inches from the waist.

Mind: Ensure that I am happy with everything I do.

Soul: Take 1 hour each day to find peace.

Hi MINIME and WELCOME!!

I prefer to plan my own meals. I find that the SP plans generally take quite a bit of preparation. I do gleen ideas from SP, but have not acually followed a meal plan.
