Ugh, this month has been such a mess! I ran my 30K on the first, then had an ankle injury, followed by a week of being mildly sick, now almost 2 weeks of being definitely sick, and having to drive to California and back in the middle of it and dealing with an injured horse as well. All things considered, I've actually done OK. Probably hit sort of an 80/20 compromise and only had a couple servings of wheat during the whole month. Really hoping October goes a little more smoothly and I can stick to my workout and eating plans a little better. Hope everyone else has had a better month than me!

Count me in. I started Paleo August 4 and have lost 16.5 pounds. It is an incredible way of eating. I am leaving for Akumal, Mexico October 14 and I want to look better in my clothes. I am motivated to stay on program.

Sounds like a good plan! I want to tighten things up this fall as well. We're taking a 4-day trip to CA for my brother's wedding, but other than that little speed bump, I think I should be able to stick to it pretty well. My 30K is on the first, then I'll be taking a little break from running, which I think will make it easier both with freeing up my time a bit and feeling less of a need to fuel with carbs.

For September, I want to get organized and recommit to this lifestyle change a little more strict than I would normally run it. I would like to be nearly 100% on-target. I want to do a better job of planning ahead for events that may through me off.

Anyone else need to recommit also? Starting September 1st, I am committing to 30 days of tight control, meal preparation work, and pre-planning.
