Hey everyone. I am just checking in. I have been eating more clean for a week now and I am amazed at how much I am loving it. I really don't miss the carp I was eating before and am proud to say that I have lost 3 lbs :D
Nothing ever happens on this topic unless we make it happen. I will try to post most evenings about my day, my food and my exercise. Nothing formal, just checking in. I'm 67 years old, retired, and just trying pale/primal. I need to lose 20 pounds become consistent with some form of exercise every day.

Hi all. I'm 32, loving wife and a mother of a 7 year DD. I have been looking into Paleo and crossfit in hopes to lose these last 20-30 lbs. I'm down 125 lbs and would love to reach a healthy weight fire my height. As I've been looking into paleo I've found it to have great effects for my rheumatoid arthritis. I'm excited yet quite nervous. I would love the support of a buddy system!
I think pairing or tripling up would be a great start: then maybe we can help each a bit better. Maybe a separate challenge, for each PAIR (team) to hit the goals together? So, BOTH to workout each of their scheduled times or track food everyday for a week or whatever goal they work out together?
Accountability, support, competition....if I can get all 3 in I'm good ;)

There seems to be quite a few of us looking for buddies. So my question is where do we go from here? Do we buddy up or do we just do a group buddy system?? Does anyone have any suggestions on how we will support each other? Maybe we can set up an action that we all need to be accountable to. What does everyone else think??

Hi. I think I'm going to jump in the needing a buddy group also. I'm Jenn, a 37 yo single mom of two kids (8 and 5). I rocked at doing Paleo earlier in the year (losing 30 lbs in 4 months), but had a huge setback and went back to eating bread and crap for the last two months. I decided enough is enough and I need to get back to eating Paleo full time because I fell better, have more energy for my children and am tired of feeling like the crap I eat.

I think I need a 'buddy' too. I know how to do low carb. I mean really really low carb. It's easy for me to stay under 20 grams a day and most of the time I feel really good. The problem is that if I eat anything remotely higher in carbs I just feel sick for days and gain about 5 pounds. So then I switch to the Spark diet and it tastes really good but I feel sick quite often. I really think I am intolerant to a lot of food. I need to know somebody is in this with me. It's not happening around my house so I need a buddy. I think. I don't even know what a 'buddy' would do to help me. Maybe just ideas and accountability. Anyone local to Colorado? I'm 37, 3 kids, married 14 years. 5 foot 3 inches tall and now weigh 150. I want to get back down to 135 like I was 2 years ago before I started sitting on my butt all day doing school work. Right now I am walking to the store for a bottle of wine. Then tomorrow I start. I've been told I should do Paleo because it wouldn't be much different than what I do now. Just way more healthy!
Hello all! I am 37, married and the mother of two teenagers (the oldest is off to college this fall) I am just getting started with clean eating/paleo/low carb eating. I would love to connect and find a buddy. This is week 3 for me, and things are going well. I really need to make a change in my life, lose weight and get HEALTHY! I would say I have 80 or so pounds to lose, so I am in this for the long haul.

Good morning, I am a 62 years young and I would love a buddy to talk with and encourage and receive encouragement from, I have been following a Paleo diet on and off for the past year and a half. I have 2 kids that follow paleo and are encouraging me to do so! I have 40 pounds to lose to get back to where I was 2 years ago and I really want to do this. I have also started doing Crossfit exercises and I am loving the new strength I am getting and the over all feeling of well being. I look forward to making new friends here , learning from each other and getting stronger.

I am ready to buddy up as well. ... I just started Paleo yesterday ... am down one pound. I will turn 55 mid-September and hope to be down at least 20 pounds by then. My goal is to lose 35 and maintain. I am training to walk the Marine Corps Marathon and have faltered a bit in my training. I am hoping that you all can motivate me as well.
Hello and welcome! I'm a single mom to an amazing 3 year old, and work f/t and go to school 3/4 time online. I struggle with the exercise portion more than the food (I've been eating clean for a few years, and do fairly well, partly because I love to cook!). Time....yeah. And energy....I'm up at 615a getting us ready to get out the door, and rushing home after work to toss dinner on the table and try to get a few minutes with the munchkin before bedtime for him and schoolwork for me. I've been trying to get in 15-20 min right after I put him down for bed but...yeah, that pesky motivation thing!!!
I'm always up for accountability and support buddies :)

Hi I started the Paleo program last Sunday and so far I am down 4 lbs. I go to Tops once a week for a weigh In for accountability. I have tried many diets and still have a way to go. I would love to get another 50 off but I have made a goal of 30 because I have been reducing so long now, I needed a goal that was more approachable. I am 58 and did buy the book The Paleo Diet. It would be nice to have someone to share ideas and and tips from. I have not cheated at all this past week because if I do, it would be all I do to throw me off and another plan down the drain. We could even set up little competitions!

Hello hello. I will buddy up with you! I've been on paleo for 15 months and I've gone from 156 pounds to 118/120. Also I've started up crossfit. I love the combo. My name is Jessica and I'm 37 with 4 kids and I've been married for 11 years this year. I lose motivation a lot and would love an accountability partner big time!!!!
Never give up. Live today. Now. Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow is NEVER guaranteed. Today is what we are given. Every day is a new start so make it the best.
I'm a woman who's 41, and reading and preparing to start my paleo-ish/grain free/whole foods eating plan soon. I need and want to lose at least 100 lbs to start, and probably a bit more once I hit that goal. I've lost quite a bit (60-75 lbs) a couple of times in the past doing various plans (years ago now, and have regained all of it), but paleo/primal is what I believe is most healthy for me now.
My problem is I'm having trouble getting my motivation up and my will in place to get started this time. Not sure why, but I think part of it is that I am no longer single or living alone, and though my hubby is supportive, he doesn't have a weight problem and can be a bad influence sometimes, lol. We've gotten into bad eating habits and it's harder to make changes, I'm finding.
I'm really hoping that I'll be able to find someone here that I can buddy up with, someone with similar goals and similar challenges. I seem to need that connection, someone to mutually motivate and inspire each other, someone to talk to about my plans, my menu, my ups/downs and vice versa, to listen and support them in return as well.
Any other ladies wanting to get started or have recently started, and would like to buddy up? Let's chat and see if we click! :)
