I'm a woman who's 41, and reading and preparing to start my paleo-ish/grain free/whole foods eating plan soon. I need and want to lose at least 100 lbs to start, and probably a bit more once I hit that goal. I've lost quite a bit (60-75 lbs) a couple of times in the past doing various plans (years ago now, and have regained all of it), but paleo/primal is what I believe is most healthy for me now.
My problem is I'm having trouble getting my motivation up and my will in place to get started this time. Not sure why, but I think part of it is that I am no longer single or living alone, and though my hubby is supportive, he doesn't have a weight problem and can be a bad influence sometimes, lol. We've gotten into bad eating habits and it's harder to make changes, I'm finding.
I'm really hoping that I'll be able to find someone here that I can buddy up with, someone with similar goals and similar challenges. I seem to need that connection, someone to mutually motivate and inspire each other, someone to talk to about my plans, my menu, my ups/downs and vice versa, to listen and support them in return as well.
