Three years ago I lost 180 pounds, and have since gained almost all of it back. A year ago i found paleo and found it extremely helpful but difficult to follow. Without wheat my edema goes away as well as aches and restless legs. I read quite a few books about it and listened to pod casts for the last year. . So far the longest ive been able to comply is about a week, But the good news is every week i learn a new way to cook ( i had to learn to cook), something, every week i am slowly moving away from the foods that i used to eat and it's been great. In fact recently i ate some junk food that i used to love and it tasted horrible and chemical like. So it's time to get serious. I'm not too concerned about tracking calories as i am about tracking carbs and protein and fat. though when i follow it my appetite becomes nonexistent.
