I'm 57 and did Paleo back this summer....my lymphedema responded really well, the size of my legs went down quite a bit. Then, I fell off. I'm trying to get started again. Dairy is harder for me to give up than grains are for some reason. I've been using almond milk for my morning protein shake but the powder doesn't mix as well in it.
I think that paleo is the answer for the middle age squish. I went on it on the fall, felt great but didn't didn't loose an ounce. Most of the women on the paleo boards are much younger so haven't connected with anyone my age and sex... still I'm going to try again. I've just started the Whole 30.
