Hi, so let me first start off by saying... I'm not 100% Paleo (that's the goal someday though). I also keep my meals pretty simple. Lots of veggies--- steamed, raw or salad, some fruit, and mostly chicken. I am trying not to eat "too much" fruit, however, to me at this point, it's the lesser of two evils (chocolate or apple)... and finally the biggest, "not so Paleo", is sugar free flavored coffee creamer!.
I think for me and knowing myself, to cut everything off is not a good plan---- So far these last few days I am just proud that I haven't given in to all the yummy temptations around my workplace! Odds are I will allow myself to eat pretty much whatever on Dec.24th. We'll see how that works out. Often I think I can be like other people and have one cheat day, the problem is, it turns out to be two, three and four days (and longer)!!!

Since you have planned your meals for the next few days, how about sharing your meal plans? I have a hard time with that. Of course, my main problem is not being able to afford many meats. I look forward to hearing more from you!

I am so glad I found Paleo people. New one's and not so new folks. I have been away from this way of eating for sometime now and want to get started again. I feel so much better when I eat in this way! But I guess I am one who needs and likes support... other wise I have a mind that tells me I can eat whatever I want. And I can, I just end up feeling terrible in the long run, not to mention I start to put on weight, which has always been an issue... the whole yo-yo thing.
But I honestly feel soooo much better when I eat more protein and do away with most carbs. For me that looks like "healthy chips" (lol, you know the ones), and sugary snack foods. I don't how to eat those things like a lady, serious, I can put some of that stuff away, cause I can't stop when I start. Then of course the cravings kick in.
I hope this site will be what I've been looking for. Support, tips, and encouragement. My plan is to start tomorrow. I already have my meals planned out for the next few days.
I look forward to meeting and sharing with some of you. Thank you for reading my post. My goal is to be on here everyday for the next week and check in. Write whether folks respond or not (I hope so, though).
More later, S.
