Hello Ashley! The folks on here are so supportive. There's so much great information out there on the web but some of it is conflicting so remember to follow what is working for you! I am glad you have had some weight loss if that's one of your goals but it's so good that you realize there are non scale victories as well!

emoticonThis lifestyle really is more about health and the non-scale victories, athough people can often lose a lot this way too. But it is not a free for all either you have to be mindful of what you are doing still. Good luck!

Hey everyone!

My name is Ashley. I'm new to Paleo, but I am 3 days into it and have seen major results since my second day! My circulation is improved (better skin color), my face doesn't look so sunken in, my skin and muscles look tighter, I have more energy which is better sustained (not crashing), I rest better at night, I'm happier, and I'm not craving sweets very much beyond the usual chocolate cravings.

My husband and I are on this journey together, but he isn't as committed to it as I am. I'm looking forward to really making this work, as I have seen dramatic improvement right away, which is really encouraging!

I also lost 2.5 lbs. right away! That's so encouraging!
I'm not doing this to lose weight though, just to be healthier. I also think my husband's health problems probably have a lot to do with gluten intake, so I suspect he will begin noticing some major improvements by going the Paleo route.
