I've been a member of Spark People for about a year. I've lost about 20 pounds last summer, which I am very excited about!! I didn't do any special diet to lose those pounds. I just tracked my calories and exercised.
I have/would like to lose about 10 more pounds. Once I lose another 10 pounds, I will be right in the middle of the healthy weight range for my height. I've been trying since February to lose these last 10 pounds.....My weight has NOT budged(I ate exactly like how my nutritionist told me to. Lots of whole grains, lean protein, fruit, veggies). I did exercise as well.
Needless to say, I am SO frustrated. I stumbled upon the Paleo/Primal diet a week ago, and immediately there was just something about it that seemed "right". So I bought "The Primal Blueprint" book from the store, and I started eating Primal yesterday. I'm going cold turkey with the grains. I might use dairy(butter only, no milk), but I will make sure it is grass fed. As for the meat, I am not currently able to get grass fed meat. I just really hope that this works out! I guess my question is.....does the Paleo/Primal lifestyle help those who are looking to just lose the last couple of pounds? About how long does it take to see results?
