Good morning everyone!!
I'm Gabby, a 22 year old living in TN but grew up in MA.I stumbled upon the Balanced Bites podcast a few days ago, and fell in love! I've always thought paleo was interesting and wanted to try it but always gave up on myself. Listening to this podcast has solidified this choice for me. I'm very new to doing this but I have researched it a lot in the past couple years. My husband has offered to enter this journey with me so hopefully he will stick to it too.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi guys! My name is Faith and I am going to be starting my Paleo journey Monday! I just heard about the Paleo lifestyle through robinssweetconfessions.com where she gives a 30 day challenge with a 30 day menu and complete daily routine for 30 days and after reading so many success stories I have got to try it! I have IBS, which is pretty gross and causes a TON of pain and discomfort in my intestines and stomach pretty much every single day. I have struggled with this for a long time now and have tried different diets even well balanced diets instructed by a dietitian with no success at fixing the problem. SOOO Paleo, here I come! I'm REALLY looking forward to not being in pain and feeling so much better! And I'm SO glad I found this group so I will have some support through this journey!

Hi Everyone, I'm back to paleo after wandering a bit. Realized the joint pain was creeping back into my hips and hands so that was clear evidence to me that this really helps with inflammation.
When I did paleo last time, I have to say that I didn't have a remarkable weight loss, but I felt much better, slept sounder, and my skin looked really good. I did ditch grain, but I probably ate too much fruit, in retrospect.
Glad to have some proof from my own experience that this is the way to eat for me! Good luck everyone. Fran

My name is Christina. I did the "Paleo Diet" two summers ago and successfully lost 30 lbs. While I have done fairly well keeping it off, I need to continue my weight loss journey. I have been following the "Primal Blueprint" book using the 21 day challenge book. As long as I am aware of the number of fruits I eat daily and avoid grains, I feel a lot better physically and lose weight.
I know that the foods available today aren't truly paleo, but this is the healthiest lifestyle and most reasonable look at why I put on weight in the first place. I just need to keep going.
Please send some support as I still have 99 lbs to lose (just got under 100lbs !)

I am just getting started going Paleo. I have been diagnosed with leaky gut as well as being obese. I have tried all the other diets and found it impossible to stick with them because of my cravings. Cravings are now being associated with what I eat. Bread is really bad for me as it just increases my cravings. Sugar as well is a problem but not as much as the bread.
I want to also try my hardest to go organic as much as possible. Since I live alone, the meat portion will not be so bad (as if I had a family) so I found a local store that sells some really good local organic meat, veggies, fruits. Yay. I am taking this slowly - just cutting out grains for now. Once used to that, will tackle the other things that give me my problems.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I live in Florida, 82 years young, widowed and have a loving, caring family and friends and church friends.
I have been going to a chiopractor (Naturually), and I have arthiritis, I have been told to try the Mediterrian Diet. Is Paleo near this? If I am in the wrong group, please let me know as I need to eat right to help get my BP, kidneys balanced, arthiritis better. Hoping to hear some information, and results, and after church I will go through and read the success stories.
Hoping to get some good advice, I am open for corrective critizism.

Hi! My username is Et Oyeblikk and I am week 4 on paleo, I am actually quite enjoying all the new recipes. I have stuck to it 90% of the time because 10% of the time I have not been prepared before I go out for the day. I need lots of practice for preparation! or I need to learn how to eat out and still stick with eating paleo!

Hi I'm Laura! I've been changing my lifestyle to Paleo since early June 2013 and have been eating strict since September. I feel great! I've almost lost 20 lbs in that time and my energy levels are off the charts. I've been researching Paleo throughout this time and it just makes sense. More than anything else I've tried and I fully plan on sticking to it for the rest of my life. The amazing thing so far is that I don't crave grains at all. That was one of my main excuses for not making the switch sooner. I can't wait to read forums and chat with everyone who shares my love for Paleo.

Hey Everyone! I'm Ashley I've been doing the Paleo thing now for about 2 weeks Id say I'm at about 80% Paleo currently. I have about 80lbs Id like to loss through proper diet and exercise. I have lost weight in the pass severely restricting calories and fat which led me to lose 60lbs but I then regained it all back within 2 years :( So I realized I needed to find a healthier way to lose the weight and this time its not just about the weight its about how my body and mind feel along the way as well. I have done alot of research through talking with various people and online, and even my doctor and it has brought me to where I am today! I'm currently on day 15 and have lost 8lbs and have never SLEPT BETTER IN MY LIFE!! The first 4 days where rough I had alot of hot flashes which I think was due to the sugar detoxing. Other then that I feel awesome and continue too, I stopped calorie counting and obsessing over the scale as well I eat 3 great meals a day and rarely feel the need to snack in between which is HUGE for me! Originally I started this with the thought of doing it for 40 days but now I've come to the conclusion this is not something I want to do for x amount of days this is a lifestyle and a gamer changer for me! Its not only making my body feel better ( Use to have some stomach troubles but never knew why but since starting this I've definitely have had nearly as many issues) Sure I'm probably going to eat a piece of pizza at some point or a piece of toast and instead of beating myself up over it and starving myself for the rest of the day I'm going to fess up to it and move ON!! But honestly so far I havent felt the need to cheat sure I miss but I think its mental more then anything! Now if I want a treat I blend up some frozen bananas and almond milk and dive in :)

Hi, everyone! My name is Patricia, and after a LONG absence, I'm returning to SparkPeople in hopes of losing weight and counter-acting some of the effects of my Hashimoto's disease. In the recent past, I've found that only by cutting out the grains can I lose weight. But it's a huge life-style change for me, and I've been able to do only months at a time. Thanks to continuously falling off the wagon, I am at my highest weight ever. But I'm now rededicating myself to total physical transformation. And I plan on using the paleo diet to help get me back on track to a healthier, fitter, and slimmer version of me. Looking forward to being part of the group! ~ Pat

Hi I am brand new to this concept. Just read a kindle free book about the diet and am ready to start. I have put on 40 lbs in the last 5 years and am ready to lose it and for a change. I need to get a lean body so I can do more and be there for my 2 little girls. I look forward to making some changes to my lunch and dinner and change my breakfast as well. I'm still going to eat carbs in the morning but that's just because I cannot eat bacon and eggs every day. Otherwise I will get rid of the junk and stay with the healthy. I guess I'm looking at a modified form of this diet.

I'm Lola. A little bit about me: I'm a 28 year old mother of one. I am in my last semester of graduate school and am about to start an exciting new job in California. I weigh 130lbs and 5'6". On the surface I look pretty healthy. I have a dark secret though: I am completely addicted to candy, sugar and refined carbohydrates. Even worse, I've realized that my daughter has this same addiction. In addition to our sugar/carb addiction, we also love any vegetable and protein.
As I approach 30, I have realized that my dietary choices are really starting to impact my health. My skin looks horrible and I have a little tiny tummy that wont go away no matter how much exercise I do. I'm gonna give this diet an honest go. Hopefully both my life and my daughter's life will improve.

15lbs (120)-Hopefully I will need new jeans and BACON!
Goal 115- New clothes and that really cool labradorite necklace I want. Oh, and wait for it...BACON!

Hello! My name is Jess. I've actually been eating (mostly) Paleo for almost two years now. In fact, eating Paleo is what led me to getting my celiac diagnosis. How much better I felt (and how much worse I felt when I ate things that were contaminated) got me to get myself checked out.
Health is very important to me because as a massage therapist and a Traditional Chinese Medicine student, I have to be a good example to my patients. I try to stay fit and eat well, and the Paleo diet is one of my favorite ways I've found over the years to do so.

New to the Paleo Team. I have tried paleo for all of maybe 3 days several months ago. I am currently doing a modified paleo diet. Unfortunately, I am allergic to most fish and don't live in an area that offered grass fed meats. I do it minimal servings of dairy because I don't feel very well without it. So I would say it is a mix of South Beach and paleo. But I am very interested in new recipes and overall experiences with this diet. Thanks!
Hi All! My name is Daisy and I am cautiously stepping in! I am at my highest weight in a long time, and feeling generally awful on a daily basis. In the past I have tried and been successful with Atkins and 17 Day Diet, both of which focus on lower carbs, however I always hit a wall. And of course I gained all the weight back. In general I avoid breads and grains much of the time, but have never limited/eliminated dairy. I have two kids, a mom and a sister who all are lactose intolerant, so I suspect this may be part of my problem. Either way I am already feeling a bit better with one day in (I know it's early but I do know this way of eating tends to agree with me). I did my first half marathon in the spring, and gained weight throughout even though I ate whole grains and healthy foods and watched portion sizes. This told me that my body needs a change. Although I have failed/quit in the past, this time I am taking things one day at a time, knowing that if I don't get healthy, I'll continue to feel physically ill. So here I am looking forward to being a part of this group! :)

Hello I have been doing mostly Paleo since May 1, 2013. I am down 12 #, however I have 20 more to go. I have researched Paleo info all over the internet. I think I might have gotten myself confused, (go figure sorry for the pun). I just want to find a plan and rules that I can live by but most of all that I understand. I am on this plan per my doctor. I am menopausal big time. I have about 8 hot flashes during the day and about 6 sweaty hot flashes during the night. I was laid off two years ago so it is a good thing I am not working I would never make it through the work day. I am taking a lot of meds for the menopause. I just want to feel myself again. I can can't I?

My name is Lori and I recently joined SP. I was first introduced to the paleo way of eating through my crossfit group and have since doing a lot of reading/research about paleo eating. I'd say currently I eat paleo about 70% of the time and am actively trying to get that more towards 90% of the time. I thought joining this team and getting to know others who eat the same way would be helpful!
Looking forward to getting to know you all!

HI Everyone. my name is Vicky and I started yesterday to ease into Paleo and or clean eating. I have needed to lose 100 lbs since I had my last child in '99. I am in peri-menopause and not liking the potbelly it has created. All my girls are on their own now and it is just my son and I.
My son has PDD and doesn't like alot of food but I am hoping he will like what I am eating some of the time. So I am looking forward to learning more and seeing the changes happen.
I have subscribed to the Daily Apple and PaleoIQ.

Hi, my name is Brenda. I am from Wild Wonderful West Virgina. I am new to Paleo eating. I have an old friend that I found again on FB she eats paleo and works out with crossfit and looks awesome, she has really inspired me.
I am a carb junkie, I know I do well on a low carb style of eating but fell off and slowly worked my way back to eating mainly carbs. After a lifequake, I am now alone which I love but I hate cooking a full meal just for myself so it's time to learn to start cooking again. Grazing and piecing have put back on all the weight I lost plus some. I now have around 100 pounds to lose.
I've made myself a cheat sheet to hang on the fridge for quick reference of what is allowed and what is not. (the guidelines do not seem that hard to understand) It is close to some other low carb diets but I like the simpler format of it.
Now to keep myself accountable and begin a new path.
Any helpful suggestions or tips? I'd love to hear them

Hi! My name is Tracy. I am new to the Paleo lifestyle. I was told this week that I should go Paleo. I am carb intolerant which really sucks! I love my carbs. I should have know that I was carb intolerant when I was diagnosis at the age of 30 with diabetes. I have struggled with diabetes for almost 13 years.
I have tried Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, HCG drops, juicing (missed the chewing) and etc. I don't think there is a diet that I have not tried. I am very hopeful with going on the Paleo diet. I am still trying to figure it all out. Any recommendation or suggestion would be awesome!
My goal is to lose the weight and get control of my health. This goal has been the same goal for all of my diets I tried in my life. I am working on the realization that this is not a diet but a lifestyle change!

Hello! I am new to the Paleo team - much like other posters I have been telling my conventional doc for years something is just not right - one should not be gaining if eating the "food pyramid/plate" and exercising 30mins but they poo-poo'd me, chalked it up to me not being totally honest and scolded me - told me to eat egg beaters and fake bacon (a chem festival for sure rather than food). Well this year - I am turning 41 and thought I am done - I am not eating "diet foods" or processed anymore. I am going to a naturopath. She ran a bunch of blood work and low and behold...PCOS, adrenal fatigue and sluggish thyroid. No kidding! All the symptoms for these things were what I was having and my conventional doc said was in my head or I was just getting old.
SO she recommended Paleo/Primal but most certainly no carbs/processed food (berries & apples only in the fruit group). I have been doing it a week along with supplements she recommended and I am starting to feel better. Still tired all the time but sleeping better. And I think I have already started to lose - the first time in 2yrs! I was in tears for 4days b/c it was frightening but I knew what was really wrong and how to fix it. Now I am done crying and ready to fight my way back to health.
Excited to be here and share my journey with you all and to join in y'all's journey as well as a support and friend. Best regards, Michele

New to this team, had attempted low-fat vegan plan (Eat to Live) but found it too restrictive. I think I might do better following a Paleo plan. I would like to see how I do without grains (I've already managed to cut out refined sugars and most processed foods) after hitting a plateau following loss of 35 lbs. I never met a carb I didn't like, so this will be a challenge for me.

I am new to the Paleo Diet and I look forward to sharing my journey.
I actually started Saturday 9/7 after my doctor went over my blood work and she told me that the Paleo Diet was for me. She is giving me 30 days to see how I am doing and she also wants me to keep a food journal and bring it to my next appointment.

light headedness is not something I have read about, and trust me, I have read a lot before starting this lifestyle... perhaps you are not getting enough water? have you stopped something instantly like coffee? Perhaps not enough calories....I know I struggled with that for a few days barely stuffing 900 in. That's why I like using this site... it helps me see where I need to add more or take away. If it doesn't get better, see a doctor!

Good night, all. I just wanted to say I love Paleo eating - it just makes so much sense to me. I had started during the summer and finally reached ketosis. I wasn't that hungry, didn't crave sugar, wasn't bored yet with meat and veggies (and the occasional fruit... have y'all tried cooking with grapes? It is AWESOME! especially with pork and steak, but I digress) and I was sleeping fantastic. A trip to visit family undid me in about 3 days and I am struggling to get back on track. I am cranky and not sleeping. I don't enjoy my own company! and I even scolded the dog for nothing other than her looking for a little lovin. This must stop! I want my paleo life back... btw - other than a few potato chips my dad offered me at lunch that looked remarkably delicious (but weren't really) I did GREAT today. I do drink milk. I know - not strictly Paleo, but I love my milk and it helps me feel indulgent at dinner. hehe Anyway - Roc on!

Hello All - been overweight all my adult life. Have had limited success with Weight Watchers and Sparkpeople in tracking but I believe sugar / flour are addictive for me and I'd like to wean myself off. My husband lost a good deal of weight going Paleo and I feel ready to take the plunge although not all at once - that has never worked for me in the past. I'd like to slowly replace what I eat with Paleo meals. I have two teenagers at home that don't necessarily want to follow suit so I need help planning and cooking meals for all of us.

Hi everyone! I am new here. Right now I am eating a Paleo diet about 80% of the time, and my goal is to increase that by finding more recipes with paleo-friendly ingredients. I'm also doing Couch 2 5k. I've lost about 20-25 pounds since March and I'm working on maintaining and toning. I am getting married October 19 so I'm hoping to look my best :-)

Hello everyone! I started Paleo on Sunday after a 2.5 year run with the 4 Hour Body- which is not far from Paleo. I have been losing the same 10 lbs over and over again for a while and I am ready for some big changes. This has been a steady progression for me to arrive here and I am pretty positive that going full Paleo is the right answer for me.

Good day! I am 41 with 61 pounds to lose. I have Celiacs so have been gluten free for a long time. The gluten free diet helped with the illness of eating gluten, but I started to gain a lot of weight and have lost and regained the 'same 30 lbs' for 15 years. My husband eats Paleo and has lost weight, and his arthritis. I am hoping to not only lose the weight, but regain my health.

Hi team! I've contemplated going paleo for a while now (a long-time back-and-forth vegan/vegetarian/flexatarian), but I finally took the plunge, hid away all my vegan proteins/grains, and stocked up on paleo foods. It's time to try something new because I have yet to see the sculpted body I crave.
I'm looking to lose that last 5-10 lbs that never seems to come off for more than a few days. I think paleo can help me make healthy decisions about what and how much I put into my body. I'm looking for a buddy to encourage each other on the journey to living a caveman lifestyle!

Hey fellow gronkees.
I'm just getting started on my primal/paleo journey, and I know I'm going to find it pretty tough (hopefully it will get easier over time!). I eat pretty clean already, but cutting ALL grains freaks me out a little, and I am going to struggle to get out of the 'animal fat is bad' mindset (thankfully it is also delicious, so I reckon I can probably add butter and bacon more easily than I can remove oats and quinoa...!)
I'd love to hear from anyone who started following this lifestyle recently and has any tips on how to adjust to this major change?!

Zumba has changed my life! I am so grateful for this exercise program and music. I am now beginning the Paleo Diet because my grandson, a doctoral student of pharmacy at WSU, hightly recommends it. He cooks for himself. I am so proud of him because he is really fit again and so positive about life. Anyway, I am officially beginning tomorrow. I have cooked all day today and am ready to begin.
I am open to suggestions about books, recipes, and anything that will steer me in the right direction.
My 2013 goals are:
* Reach goal weight....currently down 66...need to lose 44 more for 110 pound loss. * Wear size 4 hip hugger jeans by Christmas 2013...have gone from size 22 to 12..still going down. *Continue sobriety for the rest of my life...currently 778 days sober. *Continue to help others daily. *Learn new Zumba moves and become more fit. *Take zumba classes and also do zumba and hip hop abs at home with dvds.. *Follow the Paleo diet guidelines and make recipes in the Paleo Cookbook. * Live Laugh Love * Incorporate weight training, kettlebells, and cardio including treadmill and water jogging into workout routine plus use my new bicycle ( a gift from my oldest son). * Be a good SparkFriend. * To post calories, fitness, and sobriety daily. * To continue to participate in selected local 5ks.
In short, I want to become a better person. I hope to make new SparkFriends. I am looking forward to participating on this team.

Hello team! A conversation with my therapist back in February about my problems with binge eating made me realize I might be addicted to carbs - since then, I've been trying to take the Wheat Belly approach to cut out all things wheat, but haven't had much success... which made me question corn, soy, sugar, and more...
So here I am to learn more about the paleo approach. I'm not sure I could give up my nightly glass of wine, but everything else sounds great!
My biggest question is - how do you find time to cook? I work full time, make time for half-marathon training in the evening, and keep up with a blog. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hey all ... this is day 3 of my venture into Paleo. I am down 3 pounds and have lost my puffiness. Love ... love ... love the challenge of living a clean, basic lifestyle!
I am looking forward to sharing with all my new paleo friends.
My name is Lori, but I go by Duck. My husband is also joining me on this venture.

Hi! My name is Amy. My hubby & I are going Paleo together. This is the first time I've been able to get him to follow a diet. I don't need to lose any weight. I just need to gain muscle & my hubby needs to lose. On the other hand we both just want to feel feel better and be healthy. You all have a good day!

My name is Laura, I started Paleo last Sunday and at my Thurs. weighin was down 4 lb. I have stuck whole heartedly to this for a week tomorrow. I am afraid to do a cheat day as it doesn't take me much to throw me off, so I am going to stick with this without cheats, if I can. I bought the book The Paleo Diet and have subscribed to Mark Sisson's newsletters from the Primal Blueprint? I have about 30-35lbs., I want to get off but more would be better. I have tried every diet that I know of and at the moment go to Tops for support. Hopefully I succeed!

Hey guys! My name is Jamie I am from Wisconsin. I am 29 years old. I started eating lower carb in early Feb and switched to full Paleo in middle to late Feb. I am down 45 pounds. I very rarely have cheat days. If I do it is dairy or a processed foods. I am allergic to gluten and have an intolerance to dairy. I have also heard that wheat stays in your system for 2 weeks after it is eaten. I work out 4 days a week doing water aerobics and also mow my lawn.

Hi! New here! I've been doing the Paleo diet since May with one or two cheat meals a week and I've lost over 25 lbs and more importantly I don't struggle with all the health problems (heartburn, allergies, and migraines) that I used to.

Hey there everyone. Today is my first day of this diet. I actually heard about the Paleo Diet at a conference and was inspired. It truly struck me how my stomach ailments could be attributed not to just stress but to breads and such. It's the end of my day right now and I had a very healthy lunch and dinner and was pleased to find that I am not doubled up in pain. Typically I would have pains from GERD and feel like I need to throw it all up. Not today. I am so happy to feel this much better. We will see how day 2 goes :)

Hi there! I started following Paleo on January 1 and have lost 30 pounds so far. I've been sliding a bit, so I'm hoping Spark will help me get back on track. I'm 34, live in NYC and love to take cardio/strength classes. Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Hi, I joined the team yesterday - not actually doing Paleo, I'm doing the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. The allowed foods are broadly Paleo but include a limited amount of dairy and by the end of it you can include a few beans, but I am nowhere near there yet. The rationale behind SCD is somewhat different, specifically aimed at folks with digestive issues.
Hello everyone! My name's Coby, and I'm new to paleo. One of my good friends from law school really delved into the paleo lifestyle about 2 years ago (her father had a series of health issues which were life-threatening), and through education and leading by example, my friend's father has basically bounced back and is in wonderful health! If it can work for him, it can work for me. I'm kinda sorta easing in, seeing how I feel and what works but am committed (I have a month's worth of paleo dinners in the freezer!). Anyway, I'm glad to be here, learn more, etc. :)

I have been eating Paleo for 3 months now and the weight loss has stalled, not that I care a whole lot since I feel better than I ever have in my life. I joined the group in an effort to talk with fellow paleo-ers and maybe help me get some motivation to lose the last 7-10 pounds I need to lose to be at my goal.

Hello! I joined this team awhile ago, but this is the first time posting. I had to go gluten free back in October and got really sick of reading labels all the time. That's when I found Paleo. I really do love it! I feel great and have been losing weight consistently. The only thing I really struggle with is thinking of new, easy snacks to take to work just in case I get hungry.

Hello everyone! I was told about Paleo from some friends on facebook and didn't think much about it really until I found this team page on here. This diet seems like a good thing for me to do and be able to stick to since other diets that I have tried failed miserably. I am not one that loses weight easily so I am looking forward to trying this and seeing the results! I am ready to start this chapter in my journey to weight loss!

I joined this group a while ago but pretty much fell off the wagon. I am at the point where the weight just doesn't come off that easy and I crave sweets now like nobody's business. I did go paleo for about a month but I found I was hungry but not craving....I think I just have to fine tune the diet to get the hunger under control. I am pretty active I run 3 times per week most weeks and bike about once a week now. I really just have have to check in regularly and stop slacking. I'm ready too!

Hello All, I was introduced to low-carb type diets through the movie "Fat Head". I've slowly changed my diet over the past couple of years and realized I've lost 20 lbs since than. I have to say realized, because I wasn't even dieting and I just kept going down to the next notch on my belt (yes my clothes are baggy too). I was also complimented the other day by a relative: "You are so happy! I've never seen you laugh and be so relaxed before!", and they are right. I do feel much much happier now that I don't starve myself and feel bad by not being able to "eat right". I still struggle with sugar, but after doing no sugar for two weeks in May, I've noticed it's no longer strong cravings, but habit/rituals and people who've never had a weight problem suggesting "Oh just have a piece of cake this one time, it won't hurt you!".....uggg. I'm progressing toward Paleo more and more, but still do dairy (cheese, H&H) and sometimes bread (no rice, no pasta). So onward I go! Cheers!

I just brought home a book from the library titled Gather, the Art of Paleo Entertaining. The recipes and photographs in the book made me want to give the Paleo Diet a try.

Hi I'm hopping on board to see if I can stop a weight gain cycle that has frankly been out of control this past year. I'm at my highest non-pregnant weight ever. I know carbs are problematic for me, but I've had trouble with South Beach. I'm hoping that trying this which lets you have potatoes will work.
Hi, I have been eating Paleo for about a month and feel so much better. The whole lifestyle just makes so much sense to me. Feel like I am doing something really wonderful for my health. I am an empty nester with just me and my dogs at home. So I am taking this time to make me the best that I can be, both inside and out.

Hi! I'm Tracy. I'm new here. I've been trying to stick to whole foods for several years now (but slipping up too often!) I'm just now reading Paleo solution and find it pretty intriguing. I do have questions though and I'm looking for easy menu ideas, so I'll be visiting this board often. :)

I'm Joanna. Have jumped around from program to program over the last couple of years and through all the jumping have found that whole foods and having more protein and fat then carbs seems to work best for me. So I'm trying to stop the jumping around and just focus on listening to my body and what it needs to be healthy.

Hello everyone!! My name is Lori and I just joined this team. I am 31 years old, engaged to be married next April, and on the weight loss train! I've already lost 15 lbs since February of this year but I am finding myself slipping back into old BAD habits lately! Not hitting the gym as frequently and falling away from my clean eating lifestyle. I thought perhaps that joining spark people and finding some good groups will help motivate me to stay on track and keep me accountable!
I look forward to getting to know everyone and being an active part of this team!

Hi everyone! I will be starting the Whole30 on June 1 with a few of my friends. Eating paleo is definitely what works best for me so I am excited to get back on board with a huge support group! Can't wait to see results at the end of 30 days!

Tomorrow is DAY ONE for me of the Whole30 program!! I'm so excited / scared at the same time. I'm hoping that I can do this and stick with it. For the past week I have been pouring over research and cleaned out my pantry. I've gone shopping twice and started working my way into being sugar free.
I would LOVE to be part of a group that supports, encourages and motivates this lifestyle. So far, even my kids are raving about the things I've cooked - WOO HOO!!!
My bf is also on board --- which helps!!! Looking forward to making some new friends here!!

Hi all, I'm MJ and I have been looking at researching the Paleo Diet and I thought what better place to get information than on a Spark Team, that is dedicated to this plan.
Right now I am on a journey to find out what works for me. I found eating clean, has been the best method for me. But now I am looking at grains, and are they really an ok food. Hearing a lot of pro's and con's about it. I am on the last couple of bisquits of shredded wheat, and a quarter of a box of my Town house flatbread crisps. These are still refined food, they are boxed are they not? I also found even organic cereals and such have too much process going on. I did find an organic oatmeal that works. I read the labels down to the point of how it's made, where it's made, and what is made with it, in same factory. Well so much for any of that, ALL of it has to go. I have been doing fine with just fruits, veges, and legumes. Now to get to know this Paleo plan. I believe some of my fellow Sparkling friends are following it.
