I am pretty new to spark people but so far I love it. The reports are awesome. I am in a transformation challenge that starts on September 26th. It is a 12 week body transformation that includes eating and working out with weights. I am 51 and quit smoking about 12 years ago. That is when I started to put on weight. I have always been in good shape and my weight was always in control even after my 3 kids. So now over 10 years later here I am 65 lbs. over weight saying to myself "how did I let this happen" that is why I am starting this transformation process. I am ready now to once and for all win my battle of the bulge.
I have chose to follow a system that is designed to get me the best results in a 12 week period by eating 5-6 mini meals a day (around 300 cals a day) and incorporate weight training with specific reps and sets including squats 3x per week and a 1-2 mile walk 3-4 times per week. I have cut out all processed foods and only eat whole foods.
I have actually been on this diet and exercise plan now for 5 days and already find myself hating the scale cuz it has not budged. This is where it is difficult for me because my expectations are so high as well as the motivation. I am very determined to stick with the process and be patient with myself and try not to step on that scale but once a week when it is time to document. I will keep everyone posted to progress.
