I know for me, when I first started, one of the best ways I learned to navigate around the site was in earning as many SparkPoints as possible. By just going to the My SparkPoints page and then clicking through and completing each of the items I earned points, which was motivating in itself, but I also learned a lot and got connected!

Hi Juliana! I've been here on SparkPeople for several years, but my weight loss has only happened in the past two years. Before that I was just getting healthy and learning good habits. I advise you to make a SparkPage, join some teams with people who share your interests, log your nutrition and fitness, read the articles, earn points, make friends, join challenges, and everything else! You don't have to do it all at once, though! Just start and do what you enjoy, it will happen.

Thanks for the support ! It is amazing the journey you have been on to lose over 100 lbs ! You must be so proud of yourself. You are an inspiration to me and I am going to follow you and take it one day at a time and never to get discouraged. I know there will be days when it is going to take everything I have to get up and move. Today is my first day and I really appreciate the quick response you has for me. It truly made a difference. I walked for 22 minutes and burned 150 calories today. That is a start and tomorrow i will add 5 minutes. If you can give me any pointers on how to stay focused and eat healthy in the beginning I will be your friend for life. I have a family and have to cook for them different foods than I eat. Any suggestions ? ~ Juliana

Just call me a Yo Yo ! Up and down a all around is what my weight has been for as long as I can remember. I have a gym membership, just no one to go with. I am going to really try and begin the journey to a successful lifestyle and change and deop 65 lbs.
