Hello All, My name is Dana and I am a student at the Art Institute studying culinary arts. I'll be moving from Blythe, CA to N. Hollywood in July and want to shed pounds before I go and continue my health trend when I get there. I am currently going to Zumba Sentao classes three times a week and eating a healthy and varied diet. I tend to gain easily and lose slowly so my path to success will rely on perseverance. Eventually I know my metabolism will improve and I will start to lose weight. I look forward to continuing my journey with everyone here. :)
I started out top weight 245 but that was when I actually got on a scale. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia almost 20 years ago. Over the years I've learned that I do so much better when I eat organic foods and I haven't eaten red meat in years I have been gradually working more raw foods, vegetables and fruit into my diet. I avoid drive through resturants like the plague.

thank goodness KMRJPR that I'm not alone. And thank you for the welcome. No diabetes here either but I love sweets. I always had/have sweet tooth like no one and I love carbs. I know now that I'm expecting disaster to happen if I keep this up. LOL. So we've been eating much healthier these days and try to have balanced meals. But still cheat as we see fit as there are so many restaurants here. That is about to change now as I've learning so much wisdom from SP postings. It's amazing how much I've learned in just a short time. I did take something for thyroid for only a few months. My doc said to try it for I can't remember how long and I became my old self again. I didn't like myself the way I had become and blamed it on aging. I guess you can say I was to the point I kept telling hubby 'later' or 'some other time' to going out or doing anything but I used to be the 'go for it' or 'why not' type. So, here I am having fun at the same time losing weight and going to lose more while I push myself to sweat (a lot hopefully haha). on your 4th anniversary! You know I learned on my own to take vit D3 which also helped me a lot with being more energetic. So I had it tested and was at the lower #. I am lazy though taking vit n suppl daily. lol

My name is Lovely from San Jose, Ca. I'm in my early 40s. Happily married for many years. Never had problems with my weight until recent years combined with hormone issues and sitting all day office job. After eating healthy and exercising, lbs would go up rather than come down. I had given up until I corrected the hormones and noticed an improvement in me without even losing any weight. It wasn't an overnight solution but took a lot of patience. So, I'm finally here and joined SP last mid month. I lost a few lbs but got cold flu and slowly recovered. I've just reset my goals and am ready again.
