Hello everybody, I am a short little fat man with a beard and going bald. I signed into this software in 2006 with a weight of 304. I took up water aerobics during the summer and lost 56 lb. from exercising 3 to 4 hours a day. I hurt myself and messed up by increasing my weight to 309 on December 20, 2012. I blamed my family, especially my wife Margaret for bring cakes, cookies, and pies into the house. I ate one serving of fruit and vegetables a day. My problem was I told everybody that I eat like a dog. You put it in the house and I'll eat it. Hide it and I'll find it. A few days ago I started with sparkpeople, and I am glad to be here.
My family and I watched Fat sick and Nearly Dead together and my daughter asked if I could do this? My wife, son-in-law, 5 daughters, and brother-in-law encouraged me to do something. This was on December 23. I said yes and told them that it will have to be an all or nothing approach. I said my new weight loss will be by taking responsibility of anything I put in my mouth. I said I will hurt your feelings sometimes but I will decide what and when I eat. If I do not want what you cook, I'll eat something else. I started on December 24th.
I started by adding green smoothies at least 3 times a day and eating a small dinner. After a week of doing this I began to make healthier food choices. I enjoy tracking my nutritional intake and started off with the gold version of something else but changed to SparkPeople. My weight was 291 the first of this week. I guarantee you it was not water weight because I drink 80 oz per day.
