I felt overwhelmed when I first started using Spark People, but it didn't take me long to learn the ropes. Be faithful about using your Fitness Tracker, and the Nutrition Tracker. Try and walk everyday. I go for 30 mins. or more daily.

If the offer of 14 free days of SparkCoach is still available, that might be one of the best ways to get started. It can take you through getting oriented to the site, setting some small goals to get started, and more. (Check near the top right of the Start page.)
Sometimes the first week or two can best be spent just tracking food - recording what you eat, how much of that you eat, when you eat, and whether you're eating because you're hungry or bored or sad or angry or stressed. Often we don't really pay attention and we can learn areas that need some work in the process.
