Hi & welcome back. I was going to suggest meetup as well, but Lynda beat me to it :) I'm out hiking with them every weekend. The Orange County groups are great fun, but I've also hiked with a couple of LA County groups, which are just as great. There are many weekday hikes as well, which you might be interested in.
Getting back into working out is a great first step. It will help you keep your food cravings in check as well as uplift your spirits.

back! I'm not exactly close to you - I live in the City of Orange. My husband is a 3rd generation Covina native but we don't get up there much. Have you checked meetup.com to see if you can find groups to walk or be active with? I've had good luck with the groups down here in Orange County. Keep in touch and let me know how you're doing!

I joined spark people many many years ago and have not visited the site in many years. I have had some weight loss and weight gain since. I am now slightly heavier than when I signed in last to spark people.
I really don't know where to start. I'm currently not working (focusing on moving forward in my career) I have a lot of time on my hands but not a lot of motivation, "energy", or belief to move forward. I have started fast walking on a treadmill every morning. My weakness has always been with food. I can't seem to find the foods that satisfy myself and cravings yet also allow me to release the weight I want to let go of.
I live in Covina, CA and would love to start walking, hiking, biking,etc. with some fellow spark people.
I believe that everything starts within, so I know my journey to letting go of this weight and having the energy and body I desire, starts from within, yet I don't know where to start with that.
Most importantly my intentions are to feel good about myself and my body!
I have a lot of knowledge and personal growth education to contribute and I am looking forward to connecting with others and helping people move through this journey.
