Sounds like you got a good answer already - I don't use the meal plans, either, but the tracker is wonderful. By the way, you can find out how to use any of the functions on SP by clicking on the HELP button but it's ok with me to post here, too! Good luck with the trackers!

When you go to the page to Track Your Food (from the link on the main page), go to Tracker options (a button just below the date) and Change Diet Settings. Toward the lower half of the page you can take the check out of "I want to use SparkPeople's meal plans". If you have your own special preferences in the nutrient section, set those, then save your changes.
The tracker should now have each of the meal categories and a place to search for the food items you've eaten.

Hello, How do I track my own diet and food intake? I am having difficulty figuring that out and it is impossible for me to follow the meal plans due to my lifestyle. Thank you.
