Thanks so much Geri! I am trying to mix it up with my kids, without the kids, etc....THANKS! We got San Diego zoo passes this year, so that's a lot of walking! :) I feel myself getting in better shape each time I go.

Welcome to the team. ! I know how u feel. I was 260 when I started here. And with all the info on the site and all the help on the team. I was able to lose. But it's not easy. As soon as soon as winter was here it was hard to keep exercising. So now it's warmer I am back to exercising. And will lose the little I gained. I know you can do this. ! Find fun things to do. Like with ur kids. Mix it up. And maybe plan food and exercise and soon you will lose !

Lost 110 pounds so far! i am loving it!

Kelly/ there are teams for just about every interest. Yes I have my favorites. Some teams are way more active than other teams. You win some, you lose some- in my experience/just keep investigating until you develop a support system that works for you!!!! and an eating/exercise plan that works for you , too
I have found success with small changes/goals. I also really enjoy some of the challenges you find posted in various teams...joining little challenges is where I have found the most support with my exercising (which is often non existent)

Thanks for your encouraging post! I think accountability is something I need too. Is this board the most helpful for you, or are there other teams that you like as well? You're right about losing as much as can before my third pregnancy. That would be nice. Both my last pregnancies were great! The last two months were uncomfortable just like anyone, but being 265 at delivery is really big!! I didn't have diabetes or any other complications. I think I am very lucky! I know that if I don't lose the weight now, I will have a lot of health issues just around the corner. emoticon

Good morning Kfelton
I love that you have a job that lets you be challenged and be at home with the kids. You are very fortunate!!!!! Sounds like you need to put "you" first some of the time!!!! Weighing less will certainly make your third pregnancy easy. Maybe you can knock off some of the pounds before that- that would be a great motivating short term goal- with a bambino as a reward!!!! For me I need to be accountable. If left to my own devices I tend to eat unhealthily and lots of it!!!! The boards are the biggest help for me. Keep in touch

Hi all,
I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kelly. I am 36 years old. I am not brand new to Sparkpeople, but I have been struggling with my weight on my own now for a several years. I feel like reaching out for more support and hopefully return the favor. I am a proud mother of two boys, a 4 year old firecracker and an 8 month old happy-go-lucky baby. I just stopped breastfeeding and my weight is creeping back up. I work from home (mostly) as an online professor for several private universities. I love my job, and it gives me lots of freedom with my schedule and time raising my boys. I also like being a wife to my hard working husband who takes very good care of me. I just need to find some strength and motivation to lose weight. I have a short term goal and a long term goal. My short term goal is to get below 200 pounds and my long term goal is to reach a healthy weight, probably ~135 pounds for my height. I want to have a my third child soon and then really focus on dropping the rest of the weight. I have been over 200 pounds for about 6 years. It sucks! I grew up thin and was a medium build as an adult. For many reasons, I have gotten very fat over the past 10 years. I have given up making excuses, but still struggle with motivation. I look forward to meeting my fellow spark people and really staying motivated to make permanent changes in my life! Thanks for reading this!! :)
