Hello everyone. My name is Vickie. I just joined this team today. I have been a SP member since September, but have been an active member since October. I have a significant amount of weight to lose, but I'm working on my first 10 by December. I'm focusing on making habits right now more than anything else. Getting on SP daily. Posting on the message boards. Updating my blog. Recording all activity and food. Trying to get exercise in at least 5 days a week (still haven't made that one a habit). Eating less and being ok if I have a bad day. I have taken on a couple of team challenges. That should be fun. Anyway, glad to be part of this team. I love CA!!!!!

Wow... you and I are so much alike. Not only are we both named Terri but I am an X-ray tech, I work the 3- 11:30 shift, I'm 49, I live in San Diego but I am originally from CT. My mothers family is from Westbrook, ME. I'm currently 228 lbs and trying to get back to 150. I wish you lived closer, I would try to exercise together.

OK, this is new to me - I dont see anyone here in their 60s, but maybe age doesnt matter too much when you want to lose weight?

Anyway, I'm a bit cautious about posting, but I do need to lose at least 20 plus pounds and lower my cholesterol - so, anyone have any advice - other than the don't eat bread, cakes, cookies etc etc ;-)

I love to travel, but of course never have enough funds to do it near enough. Perhaps thats my "If I won the Lottery" answer. I am an X-Ray Tech and work the night shift, part-time. So this not only messes up my sleeping patterns, but my meal regularity is a laughable situation. I do the best I can. I have been actively trying to lose weight since Jan 16th. and have lost 14 lbs so far. I found this site about a week ago.
