No, you are not alone. Unfortunately, ND seems to have a pretty small participation in the ND team or from what I can tell that is how it seems. I think there is a more active group in Fargo. I do remember some gals from the Minot area in the past. Have you checked out many of the other teams based on your interests in life? There are so many to pick from, I'm sure you will find an inspiring team. I am active with the Biggest Loser group as my main group.
welcome and i wish you much success. It does not sound funny to say you want to be in a triathlon. I bet you will even find some teams on Sparks that can help you get there. Maybe your kids will be exercising and eating healthy right along with you and make it a focus on being healthy and enjoying life together. Good luck to you.
Guess I am supposed to introduce myself here. Here goes: Hi, I am John. I am a little (OK, a lot) heavy and I guess it's time for a Change. I've been a rather large guy for all my life and I just got used to it, and even joked about it. Lately though, I've been feeling the need to do something different and get in shape. This may sound funny, but I seriously want to participate in a Triathlon.
I'm hoping that the tools/resources/community here are SparkPeople will help me to realize this goal and finally get in shape.
I have 3 wonderful kids (20, 6, 2) that are looking to me to be a role model to them, and sitting all day on the chair surfing the web is not the role model I want to be.
Please feel free to visit my blog (I'm new to blogging so bear with me) or send me a message. I need to be online at least a few quick times a day to log my food and update the blog.
