Janet, Welcome. I am only 2 weeks into Sparkspeople myself but I already feel better eating healthier foods and getting more exercise. The resources you find here are wonderful. HI, Janet, welcome to the team. I've had asthma since '84 but am finding that as I workout more I can feel my breathing is easier, not getting as winding as I used to. You can achieve success --just use the SP tools & stay active.
Just wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself. My name is Janet. I am married with two children, ages 6 and 8. I have been blaming my pregnancies for my weight. However, with my youngest being 6, I can't use that excuse any longer.
I was diagnosed with asthma 2 years ago and truly believe part of it is directly related to my weight. Also, I have arthritis which is directly effected by weight.
I want to get back to my pre-marriage weight of 130 but will settle for 145. (Additional motivation...my 20 year high school reunion is next year.)
