Hey Cassy, I don't care much for water either...have you ever tried to drink Black Chai tea? You have to be careful because some brands have added sugar and calories, but very good hot..I have been drinking cold water with a drop of peppermint extract..and I've been getting my 8 glasses of water in by doing that...
There is a recipe for hot chocolate in the spark recipes that is 78 calories a serving...might look into that???

Hi Casey.

I too love hot chocolate and right now can't think if a low cal option. I'd check out the hot chocolate packets at the store to see if any of them offer a low cal option. Otherwise, I'd limit the hot chocolate but you still need to get in your water. The hot chocolate cannot be considered a substitute for the water your body needs.

Hi all. I need some advice. During the summer I can easily drink a lot of water. It is easy when it is hot. Now that cold weather is setting in I want to drink more hot drinks, like creamy yummy hot chocolate. I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and if anyone has any alternatives to the calories I don't need in the cocoa. My mother-in-law drinks hot water with lemon but if I did that I would want sugar and that adds calories athat I am trying to avoid. Thanks in advance!!

Thanks BLACKHEART904! It will just take a little getting used to! They should consider giving people the option to manually enter what they have eaten for the day and the number of calories that was in that item because sometimes some of the foods i have eaten for the day aren't anywhere on the list. But it's not that big of a deal i can always find something similar! :)

I don't think there is a way to just enter the calories per meal. However, you can enter your own food and keep them in your favorites for easy access later.

When you click on "add a food" a box pops up. In that box, there is another button that says "enter a food not listed". This is where you can enter your food.

It's a little time consuming at first but once you get your list created, entering food to the food tracker will be much easier.

HI- can anyone tell me if there is anyway to just enter in the number of calories i have eaten for Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks? The meals listed in the nutrition facts don't always have the foods that i have eaten for the day available to select.

PK1978 ~ Good question.

Go back into your page and click on edit my sparkpage. Scroll down and on the very right kinda towards the bottom there should be a box there that says profile image. Under the box it says "change this image". That is where you add a profile pic.

Can anyone tell me why when I get into these groups, it shows me as having no profile photo? I have added photos to my personal page, but how on earth do I get one to show here? Thanks in advance!

Also make sure that you are tracking your nutrition. If you are varying between 1500 and 2000 calories, that is a large difference in calories. Nutrition is a large and very important part of any "diet". For me, the more I track nutrition, the better I do and the more accountable I will be.

ELENITA10 ~ What is your range now?

Also, as you lose weight you need to change that in Spark as well as the amount of time you exercise.

If you normally exercise 30 minutes a day, the put that in Spark. If you go over or under on any give day then no need to chane it in Spark. But let's say you decide to start working out 45 minutes a day, then you do need to change that in Spark as this will alter the calorie range.

I've never had any kids, but are you breast feeding? And how much under 2000 calories are you staying? You may try dropping your calories down to 1800 instead of 2000 and see if that would help.

Just wondering if anyone has been through this?I had my baby in november weighing at most 290, after I had him i dropped to 260 and hit the gym every other day, and tried staying under 2000 cal diet... I have only just recently lost 2 lbs is this normal? Any advice.. suggestions..um anyone else go through this? emoticon

Im getting fusterated but trying to keep up the good work... :(

I don't use them either. I'm a rather finicky eater so some of the foods suggested just don't work for me.

No I don't use them.
I felt like you said, a little intimidated.
I would just be fixing the meals for myself and then have to fix something different for my husband, (he is very thin and won't eat "diet" food),so I decided it just wouldn't work for me.

I have looked at them to get ideas though!!

Does anyone use the Sparkpeople pre-made meal plans? If so, do you change many things in it? Is it working for you? Hard to follow, take a lot of time to prepare etc?

I know there are a lot of questions here but I have a lot of questions. I am looking to change my eating habits but not exactly sure how to go about it but it seems that when I look at the meal plans, I feel intimidated.

Is there a place where you can contact one of the people that set up this site? I was just wanting to suggest some icons that I would be nice to have on the "Add an Emoticon". Like "Good Morning" or "Smile", etc.
