Hi, I'm not new to SP, but am new to the team. I've been using the iPhone app and am certain I am not getting the most benefit from it. Thought I would join the team and get some insight to other users tips and tricks.

Hi everyone - have worked around the few kinks in the iPad app and am finding it really useful to add foods quickly throughout the day (without logging onto the laptop or PC).

Let me know how everyone else is finding it and whether there are any improvements we can think of?

I think it would be nice to have the fruit and veg counter back and maybe the Sparkpoints wheel added to the apps! :)

Cheers - Daniel

Hi I have just brought the iPad app and it looks really great.
When I started using it though the food tracker has converted all my saved foods to 1 gram etc. ... Any one else had this problem?

Hi ya'll, I've not been on here much - just have entirely too many teams to deal with. So I'm voting myself off the island, since I've not been much of a player. I spend too much time online trying to check in with all the teams and feeling guilty when I don't. I need to spend that time EXERCISING and taking care of myself, so I can help others!! I haven't even been participating in teams I started - and that's a really sad state of affairs!!
emoticon
We'll likely see each other around on the Spark, and you can always stop by my page and say "Hi!". I'd like to think I could eventually re-join the team (that is, if you'll have me back!!).

So just wanted to let you know (in case anyone notices when the count drops by one!).

Cheers!
Julia

Hey there everyone...

I am a long time (5years now) Sparker and am looking for active teams and a few new friends to help spur me on and keep me going! I had great success the first 1-1/2 years here then hit a wall... a high, thick, immoveable wall. After 3 years of pushing and climbing and trying to get over or around it, I sort of lost hope... anyway - with a new year I have once again found a new drive to make it over and get back to a healthy lifestyle, losing weight, and mostly feeling confident and energetic again! I regained almost 30 of the 75 that I originally lost here and I am looking to AT LEAST lose that 30 again!

I bought the Spark Activity Tracker and am a new iPhone (4) user so this team sounded perfect! Now - to go find the app!

Good Morning, Nice to meet ya'll. . Started yesterday on the "New Years Healthy Eating" resolution. Have been playing with the app and Love it. It has really enlightened me as to the huge amount of fat and calories that I eat. Also the carbs are way out of range but not eating enough protein which I thought was my good points. Learned to sync it with my website this am, so I am ready to go .Looking forward to hearing and learning from you. Kay

Just introducing myself. I am an old spark points member, refocusing on taking better care of myself--not focused on weight loss (although it would be a plus). Downloaded the app hoping for easy access to the boards, goal setting, etc. so far, I can only figure out how to use it for food and exercise tracking. I went I manage goals and it says I have chosen spark 5 and it isn't available??! Any help would be appreciated

Hello from VT. I have been a long time member of SparkPeople. I used to have the free version of the SparkPeople Diet and Exercise tracker. I had an issue with my phone and and to remove many of the apps. I went to add this back and see there is a charge. Isn't there still a free version? And, If I did forget that I paid for it - how would I download it again without paying again?

Thank you kindly in advance for any assistance.

Hi I am back to spark after a long absent. I have lost 75 lbs since last may and have been stuck on a level for a month now. Looking for support to help me out. I weigh 185 right now and want to get down to 140 at least. emoticon . Has anyone tried the 8 hour diet yet and does it really work?

Go to the top and you see My Trackers Select Nutrition and there should be a small "settings" by the title near the tp right.

Thanks Amy for your quick reply. Do you know how I can change my settings for a diabetic menu. I set mine up before I went on meds. I have been struggling to get my numbers lower. I appreciate your help!

@JOYYEE

Welcome to the board. I'm sorry about the heart attack. I also have diabetes. Sparkpeople lets you configure your Nutrition as diabetic and you can had a feature that lets you design your diabetic type meals.

I haven't used it much. My medication keeps my numbers in check so I don't worry too much about it.

Hi Amy, I have been a member for a while. I discovered the phone app and have been using it some. Santa brought me an IPad and I added my app. I am finding more benefit from the program. I have shared this tool with my doctor. I need to lose weight to reach a healthy BMI and improve my overall health. I am prediabetic and have had a heart attack. Started some yoga and would like some stretching exercises. My goal is to walk a minimum of 30 minutes a day. Recently I read that for diabetes, walk 5-7 minutes after eating. These small increments add up quickly to each my daily goal.
