In 2010, I went on a diet & lost 56 pounds in 4 months. I started at 335 & got down to 279. I stayed around 280 for 2 to 3 months and then over a period of a year I gained 46 of the 56 pounds back when I went off the diet. In January of this year I learned about sparkpeople & decided to make a lifestyle change. I do not consider myself on a diet. I have made a lifestyle change. I keep track of what I eat on sparkpeople and I keep track of my exercise. This is a part of my lifestyle change. With a lifestyle change, it is a permanent change & I will not go off of it. On January 12 of this year I weighed 325 pounds. I set an initial goal to be under 250 before the end of June with an ultimate goal of weighing 190 pounds by January 12 of 2014. Yesterday morning on the 2nd day of a 3 day cruise, I weighed in at 249.2 which put me under 250 for the first time in over 20 years. My lifestyle change is permanent, & I have set my sights on getting under 200 Pounds by the end of the year. Diets have not worked for me. I am confident my permanent lifestyle change will allow me to be the healthy person I want to be.
