Sorry to hear about your injury. Take it easy while the muscles recover. One of the great things about water exercise is that you can do it at any energy level; you can adapt the moves to suit your own physical situation. Hope your recovery is quick. emoticon

I am soooo upset ... I fell getting to my car from the pool and pulled a muscle in my back and hurt my shoulder. I can go back into the water on Monday but cannot do the intensive class I have been doing. Will be a good time to "train my brain" as I am very uncoordinated when doing left leg/right arm stuff.

The simplest thing to do is enter 60 minutes under "track other exercise" and label it water aerobics. Also, you can join this group's team goal of 3 hrs per week and get points for tracking that. Good luck on your journey and congratulations on finding exercise that you enjoy!

I looked and looked when I started the water aerobics because I wanted to start tracking exercise now that I am finally doing some. We do part cardio and some strength in each session and I do at least 3 1 hour sessions a week, with a 4th added in if I am up early enough on Saturday

Mostly I just use "other exercise". You could also apportion the appropriate class segments to "cardio" and "strength". IMHO SparkPeople could do better at helping members track water exercise. They could also add some water exercise video segments for those who do it on their own instead of a class.

Wow ... I am so glad to find this message board. I just started water aerobics 4 weeks ago and I love it. I accidentally signed up for high intensity water aerobics but now I am glad. I can do most of it and my wonderful instructor said to just do what I can and when I can't do what they are doing to just keep moving. I had blood clots in both legs removed 2 1/2 years ago and now need to really get busy getting some strength back in my legs. Can anyone tell me how to log this on my fitness logs?
