HI RedTop72! I read your other post, the stable which you are close to sounds like fun. I also just started riding again. I had a goal weight which I had achieved before getting on, and now I'm working on losing more weight and increasing the time that I ride. My next goal is to get out of the arenas and hit the trails instead....much more fun!

Hi, I just found this group and coincidentally, have reached the goal at which I'm ready to ride again. I grew up riding several times a week but have only been able to do so occasionally as an adult. Now I'm 57 and if I'm going to do it again, it is time! When we moved last summer, we deliberately moved fairly close to a stable with a great natural green area for riding, so I don't have the excuse of "it's too far away" any longer. I don't have my own horse but at least I can get outside and on a horse again.
