Yes...I'll have the opportunity to log in..not to spend time with messaging, but just to stay in touch..(with myself as much with everybody else). Just touching base will help to keep my *Sparking* in the back of my mind.

The traveling foods are purchased...and conveniently packaged all ready to go in the ice chest tomorrow.

What would I do without all the wonderful support and encouragement I get from you people. You're the best!

Hugs,
JD

what do you do for exercise? because maybe you just need to change that up...because i hated exercise too, but now it isn't so bad, and i sometimes really want to do it ... i do a lot of dvds that incorporate dancing and kickboxing...which i think is really fun!

i remember losing 20 pounds on spark the first time...and i got "bored too" because all i was doing is lifting weights twice a week and running 5 times a week! boring! now i'm doing dvds (i have about 20: The Firm, Kickboxing, Belly Dancing, Pilates, etc), running, hicking, rollerblading or just walking... variety really helps me get it done! when i start to get bored with my dvds i go on half.com and buy another one for about $7 ... which isn't bad

anyway, good luck on your vacation! keep spark in mind! is there anyway you can still go on spark just to check in (Even if you don't necessarily log exercises, etc.)? i find that even if i don't have time to do the whole sha'bang, it still helps and gets me motivated to go back on!

Excellent - I truly believe that having a "plan" is half the battle. If I don't plan it out and prepare in advance, it just isn't going to happen! Have a fun trip!

We are going to be on the road the 23rd-27, so I have some planning of my own to be done!

Oh, Kitnchuck, I hear you!
And that's exactly what I'm doing.
For our trip back home, we'll be on the road for most of three days...(two motel nights).
As we speak, I"m planning a shopping list of foods to take with us, so I don't fall prey to vending machines and greasy spoon restaurants.
Gonna "ice chest" WATER...fresh finger-food veggies, yogurt, some fruit, nuts, hummus, peanut butter, turkey sandwich meat, etc.
Gotta give it some thought because the car won't hold a grocery store...lol
As for exercise, short walks when we stop for gas will have to do for now...maybe another short walk when we stop for the night (that all depends on how "safe" it feels.)
At least I'm trying!! Right?

Hugs,
JD

Mmm, I feel your pain - I truthfully just don't wanna do it either! I am going to anyway, and so should you! I might not doing everything exactly right over the next couple of weeks, but I will do what I can.

I will exercise even though I don't want to. I will continue to eat a "good" breakfast. For the rest of the day - I will try to minimize the damages.

Instead of waiting until the New Year, why not choose something - even if it is small - and stick to that? You can do it!!

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Lately, I've been "lazy". I've skipped meals...allowed my calories to drop to low..not gotten in the daily things I need to...(not enough veggies, skipping dairy, letting calories drop too low, etc.)

Exercise has ALWAYS been a challenge for me. I absolutely detest it. I don't mind being more active as I go about my day, but organized, official "exercise"...yuck.

Yeah...it's all in the attitude, and my attitude really stinks when it comes to exercise...I admit it.

So...getting back on track is definately needed here. I'm looking forward to getting a knot jerked in my behind it that's what it takes...lol

Ok..gotta go be productive. Things that need doing..y'know?

JD

Hi there,

I've been on Spark for almost one year. I'm proud of what I've done, but I admit to being a bit bored with the whole thing and THAT WON'T WORK!

That enthusiasm and eagerness to succeed really needs a boost because I"m determined that the changes I've made are for life...not for a temporary fix.

So...I"m leaving in a couple of days for Christmas with the family, so I won't be very active until we return home after the Holidays...but then...my goal is to jump back in with both feet.

If I don't jump...then maybe this team can kick me in the behind and get me going again.

Hugs,
JD
