I've been in and out of Spark since 2008. At one time, I was even in Onederland,, I want to get there again, so I have been back for about a month now. It's difficult because I now have Lupus. I have to break up my walks into 10 minute segments to keep from aching afterwards from the lower back and down. When I am in the water is the only time I don't break things up and can keep at it until I'm done. I've been changing my eating habits and am now trying to lean in a Paleo direction. It's a process.

Hi Everyone! Like many others on this team, I lost my motivation, gained weight, and find time is passing me by with no results towards losing the excess weight I've been carrying. Sick of having no energy and being tired. Just started back exercising and journaling my food this week. Hope to help get inspired here.

Hi everyone! Newish to the team, not new to SP. I've "misplaced" my mojo and I came to this team to find it. If you've seen it, kindly point me in the right direction emoticon If I can help you find yours I'll be happy to help!
After reading some of the other posts on this thread, it seems we have a lot in common.
There is comfort in knowing that we share many of the same struggles and its not just me.
Have a peaceful weekend!

Hi everyone - I'm Katie. I was pretty successful a couple years ago and then fell off the wagon and gained everything back and more - I had been feeling so good before, it's SO frustrating!!! I don't care how long it takes, I'm doing this. I'm starting with baby steps and I'm feeling positive - today anyway :)

I joined several years ago and dropped from 217 to 120. Then, life intervened and the weight kept creeping back as I let food become my solace. I am trying to get back into reality at nearly 184, but am having a heck of a time getting my body to accept the exercise.

But, I will persevere. I feel miserable this way.

I have been on and off sparkpeople for years. I lose a few, get tired of tracking. Promised myself as long as I never gain another 5 or another 10. Then as long as I do not go over 200 pounds. I stepped on the scale and I am now over 200. I feel so ashamed. I cannot believe it. Such strong denial. Not wanting to give up certain emoticon emoticon foods or quantity.

I am back and really back. I need a lot of support and encouragement. And a few kicks, too.

Hi to everyone. I joined SP in July 2007. It took about 3-4 years to reach my target weight. In the process I adapted better, healthier eating habits and I also became a runner. I've now done several 5k runs, a few 10k's and 2 half-marathons. 2013 ended up being a year full transitions and lots of stress. It was much harder to continue my WO routine and my healthy eating habits gave way to whatever was convenient. The result was gaining 30 lb. back.

I have been reconnecting with SP however some of my teams are much less active now. This team appears to have good involvement, accountability, and challenges. I look forward to becoming better acquainted with many of you.

We are temporarily living in west central IL. We have 4 children, all married, with 15 grandchildren and first great-grandchild due this fall.

Hi I am Jenny, I have been a spark member since last May. My first 6 mos were pretty successful, I increased my fitness and dropped around 15 lbs, but an extremely cold, icy winter, going back to work full time, and anankle/knee injury in March has really cut into my running and cycling. Add to it the fear I would fail my "assessment" for our health insurance and I am floundering again.

My name is Robyn. I have been back and forth with sparkpeople for some time now, including a baby break. My current journey started back in June last year when I returned to running. In September I began the fast diet, I lost 14 lbs regained 4 at Christmas. After the holiday I could not get back into the rhythm of fasting. I realised that I am now running 12-15 km per week and need more consistent nutrition, especially as I am training for a 10K this summer. So here I am doing what I always should have been doing.

Just do the next right Thing.

This is the perfect place for me! I get so depressed in the winter months and this winter has been especially terrible and lack of exercise hasn't helped. Right now, I am basically maintaining my Weight Watcher weight and want to lose 20 lbs by August 1st for a much needed long vacation I am going on and to finally get serious about the 20 lbs I have put back on these back few years. I have my snack demon that rears it's ugly head and I have gotten better at squishing it, but this week has been challenging. I am going to buy an ActiveLink at my W.W. meeting tomorrow to start tracking my steps. I have thought about this for a long time and am going to make the splurge tomorrow. I have heard good things about tracking 10,000 steps a day. I shudder to think of what I am getting now, which isn't much. I battle with getting alone time, and enjoying winding down at home with much needed alone time, since I am gone so much from home. I am glad to be back on Spark and hope to make some much needed friends. emoticon emoticon

Hi,
I am Connie, I am 49 (turning 50 in July). I have been on SP for almost 4 years. I had already reached my goal weight before joining and was using SP to help me maintain. About a year or so ago I started slipping and just couldn't find traction no matter what motivation I tried to use for myself. In the process I've gained 20 pounds back. emoticon
I have been using a Fitbit to keep track of my steps and exercise but it didn't seem to be enough (I was eating the wrong things). So today I bought the Aria scale to link with Fitbit and I have reset my goals. I have high hopes of this helping to keep me accountable, no more lying to myself. I am ready to reach my goal weight again. emoticon

Hi,
I'm Lori. I've been on spark (well off and on) for about a year. I went off partly because i found i was spending TOO MUCH TIME on the computer. This time around i am hoping to be able to use the tools appropriately and make sure that my SP time doesnt interfere with other areas of my life.
~ I have Type II Diabetes and am looking to make my blood sugar numbers better.
~ Hopefully get off of some medications (or reduce dosages).
~ And lose weight. At my highest i was 160. Then I made it down to 125, and then (due to meds) i lost more weight. I was at 116 and that was TOO SMALL. But, then i went back up to 139. That is too hight for me. I am most comfortable between 120-125. I am hoping to get there again, by APRIL 1, 2014.

Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

My name is Rebecca, I am 39yo and returning to Spark. Well..I returned a couple of months ago. I am at the highest weight that I will ever allow(297) and am relighting my Spark that will get me thru! I originally joined with Spark on 10/11, leaving in 5/12 and returning for some great motivation, shared and enjoyed successes and for some ideas that I know will be ideas that I just haven't come up with on my own. I am disabled with a Traumatic Brain Injury since 6/95 with only some mobility issues. By the Grace of God, I am not still confined to a wheel chair and am able to, most days, get in some walking for my cardio and light aerobics while with physical therapy. I live with my mother, Anita, who is also my care giver. I look forward to sharing and getting support from all of you as we navigate our journeys and become fitter, healthier and more trim!

Hi, my name is Becky, and I've been successful in the past with SP. But I have been a bit less than motivated for the last few years.
I need to get myself healthy, to enjoy my life and my family.
I just turned 65, and perhaps the time should be now.
I live in San Jose with my husband and a new cat.
I still work in a school library, part-time, and I enjoy my job everyday. (except when on vacation, and then I enjoy those days, too)
I am looking forward to finding some new SP friends, and a joining a supportive team.

emoticon Hello my name is Jennifer. Joined spark in 2012, was going strong for the first 8 months, then it waned. Want to get back and motivated. The weight is taking a toll on me, have a lot of health issues because of it. I am currently around 185, started around 215-220, but still have a long ways to go, doctor told me I need to be around 125. I figure if I can gain my confidence and determination back, and stick with socializing with everyone here on sparkpeople I can get my mojo back. Looking forward to be a part of this team. I just got to remember :

emoticon My name is Monica and I also have been a Sparker since 09. I'm returning after about a six month break. I'll be turning 60 next year and I really need to get into better shape. Losing weight is what the doctor is recommending to deal with my ailments. I weigh 155-160 lbs. and this is wreaking havoc with my health. I know I can do it but I just need to be consistent and I believe that logging onto Sparkpeople daily will be the best thing I can do for myself.

emoticon My name is Diana. I have been a SP member since 2007. Originally, I lost 35 pounds with CalorieKing which put me at my goal weight. When I started to regain weight I joined SP. I had some success but never got to goal. I left SP about two years ago and just gave up after I worked hard and stayed the same weight for months. Now I have 55 pounds to lose.

I am ready to get to goal and just tired of not liking the way I look and feel. I returned in September of this year. I bought a Jillian Michaels Jumpstart your Weightloss 14 Day Cleanse and Burn program and found a recipe on Dr. Oz for a fat burning water. I am back to tracking food and regular exercise. I also joined a Spark Challenge group "Eat Up and Slim Down" which really reviewed the basics for me. It has been really good for me. Now I think that my wieghtloss plateau was due to portion distortion and I was really consuming more than I realized. Best wishes to all.

Blessings, Diana

Hi everyone! I'm Sue and this sounds like the perfect team! I used Sparkpeople a few years ago and lost almost 50 pounds.. but I drifted away and had to deal with a hip injury and ended up gaining it all back! ugh! Now I have to lose that same weight again so I am back! I just need a little motivation and support because I just can't seem to stay focused on my own! I have to take a look around.. does this team do challenges?

Hi! My name is Terri. I am type I diabetic. I have been with Sparkpeople for a number of years. I had great success and lost 20 pounds! I was a type II that was rediagnosed a year ago and went on insulin in October of last year. I have gained my 20 pounds back, eating horribly, and not exercising regularly! I am recommitting to lose my 20 pounds and maybe a little more than that!

Hello,
My name is Kathy. I have been with SP for almost a year. So far I have 40 lbs. but have been under a lot of stress lately and gained 10 back. This is more than I want to. I was doing so well when I was recording all my food and exercise and then I quit. When I quit my weight started going back up again. Therefore, I am trying to get back to SP. I have changed my groups hoping that a little change will get me motivated again. I only have 30 more lbs to lose (10 extra, it was 20) I am very close but if I keep going the way I am, I am going to need to lose 30 + the 40 that I have already lost. that would be tragic. I really need to relight my spark.

Hello,
I'm 53 and I have been with Sparks for 6yrs. I have lost and gained over and over.

Hello, beginning back in 2007, I went from 340 to 180 pounds. I have since gained back 100 of those because I quit logging into the site. I'm back and ready to rip these pounds off again!

Hi,
I'm a 54 year old married mom of 4 (21f, 19f, 17f and 15m). I live in NY, am a one to one aide in the school system and exercise moderately. I love the name of this team and it is exactly what I need to do. I have about 10 lbs to lose (which I jokingly refer to as "baby weight" ). I am looking forward to being part of this team. Thanks for being here !

Hi All!
I've been on Spark for almost 5 years- my first year and a half here I lost over 90 pounds and maintained the loss for a few years until pregnancy. I had planned on working out and eating right while pregnant but a wrench was thrown in that plan when I started having complications and was told by my doc that I couldn't be on my feet any more then 4 hours a day- no exercise, not even walking or swimming. So I spent 9 months sitting on my rear and slipped quickly into old eating habits. My baby just turned one and I'm finally getting back to feeling good and healthy again. now I just need to find the motivation to get back down where I was!

I like the team name. That is why I am here, to start over. About 5 years ago I lost 80 lbs and kept it off for about 3 years. I have gained 50 of it back. I have been a yoyo every since. I am trying to learn to stop and keep it off for good with the help of several sources through work. I am determined to do it but having a had time.

I will succeed

Hi! I've been with SP for over three years now. I just feel lately like I need a push back in the right direction. My motivation isn't what it used to be. I'm hoping to get it back soon.

God grant me the serenity to change the things I can, to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Welcome Positive!

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your Son, that has to be devistating, my daughter had cancer 9 years ago and got it back recently and we are dealing with that so I can understand a little what you are going through. I think your son would love it if you now took time for your health?

Hope to see you posting a lot!

Hi there,
I'm new to the team, have been on spark for a while. I lost some weight, but gained some of it back. From a family loss, I lost my son ,was the hardest thing for a parent to go through.
so now I'm trying to get back on track

Hello everybody! I've struggled with my weight all of my life and I've lost and regained too many pounds to mention. This time I want to permanently change my life instead of working really hard for a short period of time only to relapse because it's not sustainable. I used spark people a few years ago but fell off the wagon once I achieved my goal. I resumed my weight loss journey on April 27th of this year and I've been using weight watchers for the nutrition side of my weightloss plan. I've lost a little over 27lbs. in 3 months, but I have a long way to go. I'm returning to spark people for the motivation and support I need to make my lifestyle changes stick. emoticon

Hi all,

My name is Sandy. I have lost 28 pounds but I have gotten off track with exercise and eating due to some family issues and my fibro symptoms getting worse. I am happy to be part of a group that is also working on relighting my Spark. I pray that I will be a support for others.

My name is Mary, and I've gotten way off track, so much so that I just took my SparkPage offline because it isn't the least bit accurate. I'll edit it and put it back online sometime soon. In the meantime, I've set three FastBreak goals to get me going again, and one is to post a message on SparkPeople daily. I look forward to getting to know people on this team as I work toward relighting my Spark.

I had such great aspiration when I first joined SP. My personal health got in the way and I went off the deep end. It's been over 2 months now and I so sincerely need to get my spark back. I really don't want to hang in the towel and give up on myself. I really want to see the scale going in the right direction...not in the wrong direction.

We're all here in this together... you've been a Sparker before, it's like riding a bike. Just hop back up in the seat, and let's go ride it out!!!

Be sure to log as best you can all of your intake, it'll really help show you visually what you need to improve, and if you do it before you eat something... you might even be able to change your mind before the damage is done! But, never beat yourself up over any over-indulgences... just get back in the saddle and keep on Sparking!

Just call me Prin (easier on your fingers!) (unless you were counting that as exercise!!!)

Hi all,

My story is not new, I have been on many weight loss plans and here I am again! Sad part is I worked for eDiets and helped many people that I am still in touch with but I can't help myself!

I would love to meet new friends to help motivate me into eating healthy.

Welcome home, Jen!

Keep on pushing yourself, while Sparking all the way! Log your food in the food tracker - regardless of nit-picking the quality at first. Just logging helps us learn the proper portions! That's one of my failings... portion size. Dinner tonight was logged as '2 servings' LOL

Once you start seeing it logged (keep it private if you want, for YOU to learn from not for anyone else to judge), you'll probably be talking yourself out of several calories a day, just because you don't want to log them :) But, be honest with yourself, and log whatever passes your lips!

Ok, so I started sparkpeople over a year ago. Joined some challenges, lost some of my pregnancy weight, but then our challenge group kind of died and I lost all motivation and gained almost all of it back. I really, really, really struggle with eating healthy, I just don't like to, I like the way the bad food taste. But, I don't mind exercising. I run a lot, but the what I hate is that I run so slow, I am so slow my 57 year old mother runs faster than me. She started running about a year ago and has really focused and lost about 20 pounds, and I am still at the same weight and slower than her. It's really embarrassing. I know that the only way for me to lose is to change what I eat and I am trying really hard, I really would like to stick with it this time because I hate how I look and am so uncomfortable.

A little normal info about me, I go by Jen, I am 30, married and have a rambuncious 2 year old. I am a high school teacher, so I am off for the summer. I have run 3 half marathons and one full marathon (this does not however mean I look fit in any way) and am signed up for the hottest half in august.

I'm new to the team, but I've been on Sparkpeople for over 2 years-I was formally Greenthumb70. I foolishly deleted that profile last April. Too bad it would have been nice to look back and see what I did right. I lost 40 pounds from May 2011 to December 2011. It was like pulling teeth! So painstakingly slow. I went from super obese to obese I was 14 pounds away from over weight. I fought MS relapses, 2 injuries, and pneumonia and still stayed the course. Then my father died in December 2011 things went down hill from there. I fought hard but just couldn't stay focused while ciaos and drama of others I let effect my life. I have been looking for a team that I feel like I could fit. I have a lot of feelings of shame because I again gained a large amount of weight I worked so hard to get off.

LOL kinda made up for my calories today...

Pretty much was way under yesterday - and guessing I was suffering the consequences today. But, was forcing myself to eat... so pre-lunchtime I was out and about for work - with the intention of going to the Y after work. I stopped and got a smoothie and salad to bring back to work.

I was good, put the salad in the fridge and drank the smoothie thru 'lunchtime'. Waited until there'd be a good amount of time from finishing said salad to going to the gym. I know I don't like the gym on an empty tummy, but it's also miserable with a full belly! I timed it great.

Then, I left work an hour later than planned, and during that hour began having some terrific tummy pains. Lettuce doesn't always agree with me LOL So, scratch on the Y - I was gonna come home and lay down. Maybe have a PB&J after getting up.

Hubby gets home and wants to go to Pizza Hut. Gah. So, to appease, I did. Figured maybe some food other than lettuce on the tummy would be good. Well, went over 3k sodium I think LOL Tonight's not the 'cheat' night!!! Also, got so close now to the top of the range... but without going over cals, so I still consider it a WIN. Been doing great with sodium every other day, so I'm fine with the excursion! & when you net everything out thru the week, it's not that bad - and that's what matters!

I will be short water today for the first time in the four or five days I've been doing this. My other half was working on the outside spigot today, so we were without water for almost three hours. So, I will probably end up six cups short today. Prin, I think you and I could be great friends. I also am having trouble hitting calories already, between being busy and just not being hungry, lol.

Drinking NOTHING but water, I still struggle to get over 14 cups LOL I think I'd float away!

Thanks to my gastro specialist (heretofore known as the carbonation nazi) - I cut back from more than 3 liters of diet Coke per day, to well - many days I have no carbonation whatsoever. After 3 months of that, symptoms remained unchanged, so I honestly don't believe the carbonation in and of itself was causing the trouble. So, I will still allow myself LIMITED amounts of carbonated fruitiness! I like flavors, but despise how most are over-sweetened. I can control this myself tho', since I have a SodaStream!

But, primarily still water water water... until we float away!

I've got a problem with being under cals too much, whenever I try to eat healthy... it's like, there's NOTHING healthy in reach - so I don't eat anything. Or, like today... a 100cal yogurt with some granola for b'fast - followed by a rough day at work, and no time... so I ate another yogurt/granola for lunch LOL You'd think I'd have great tummy bacteria!!! But alas...

Believe it or not Princhessa, 20 glasses of water is getting easier each day, lol. I miss my Mountain Dew though. I have not had any soda whatsoever since Wednesday! And today, I got so excited because I was way under calories and had a bag of popcorn just a little bit ago. And I'm still way under calories. I haven't had this much energy in months. :) emoticon

I've never had high blood pressure before, so hopefully was just from the stress of the day. This 20 glasses of water a day may kill me before anything else does. I set my own calorie count and so far am not having problems staying within those limits. There is so much riding on this weight loss that I have no choice but to succeed this time, just a long way to go.

Quite a story!

Way back when (around 2000), I had a good doctor, that weighed the risks of my borderline BP at the time, and figured the weight loss would help it more than just medicating the BP. It worked. Worked great. I had no side effects or anything from it. It really worked as the appetite suppressant it is meant to be. Helped me to eat less, while still having the energy to work out as well.

Hopefully, you'll find time to deal with the migraines! I get them too, but my last few docs merely tell me to take ibuprofen, tylenol and excedrin. Blech, yeah. & Now, I fear that previous year of ibuprofen, and then taking again lately, may be the cause of my yet to be diagnosed kidney issues. We gotta watch these drugs!

I weigh more now than I ever have. The stressors are getting more instead of less. I suffer from debilitating migraines, and have tried to make a doctor appointment four times to get put on something for that. I've had to reschedule every one of them. I finally gave up. Between appointments for my daughter's epilepsy and depression, and an elderly friends doctor's appointments, there is no time for me. I stepped on the scale a month ago, as all the clothes I have are getting tighter and was almost 40 lbs higher than my highest weight. :( I made an appointment for a medical weight loss clinic, praying that I wouldn't have to cancel. It's taken me years to go to someone who would actually help me, as opposed to a previous doctor who just said "eat less," and I feared that if I had to cancel, I wouldn't have the guts to reschedule. That appointment was yesterday. I went, even though the elderly friend was having major surgery at the same time. I left my kids in the surgical waiting room and walked across the tunnel to the doctor's office. I start phentermine today, and hopefully can find a cheap gym in the next week or so. I will not live like this anymore. Help!

Welcome back MAY!

It really does feel better - and heck, we're not 'starting again' - that would mean having to really start from the beginning with no knowledge or confidence that it will work - we have that knowledge and confidence! Just gotta continue to apply it to our daily decisions!

Hello everyone,

I am also very glad to have found this team. I am in so much need of the support and challenges. I was on sp and doing really well about 2 yrs ago working towards the goal of lapband surgery, but do to changes in my health insurance I was no longer able to have it doneand I just quit trying. I had a huge pitty party and eat and eat and eat whatever I wanted with little to no exercise so, of course I gained all the weight back plus some.. I have slowly gotten back to were I was before I gave up on me and with my oldest son's wedding next fall I am renewing my efforts to get healthier and looking better so when I see all the wedding l pictures I can feel good about myself and my sons will be proud of me. I am 1 week back and have already lost 2 lbs. Its not a lot but its motivation I really needed because my come back was kind of half hearted.. now I'm ready to lose some more.

Hi everyone! I am so glad to have found this team. It is amazing how similar the stories are. We do great, then life gets in the way. My story is the same. I lost 60lbs, more than half of my goal. I was running 5 miles three times a week, my self confidence was good, I was actually contemplating trying to go out on a date (eeeeekk!!). Then life got in the way, money problems forced me to get a second job, then a third. Something had to give, and it was me and my health. I told myself I didn't have time to run. Then slowly the weight, ALL the weight is now back.
I have been back sparkLing for 5 days now, again,, and it feels great! I still have to be more regular in my exercise. I can't run yet as it is too hard on my knees, but I do DVDs.
The lesson I am going to take from my success and relapse is that the LAST thing I should have cut from my schedule is time for my health.
Thanks for posting all of your stories!

I, too, am back to get on track! I've been on SP two other times, both times met my weight goal and am now back to do it again! I love SP and it is the only method that I can say that about!

I absolutely loved my slim self and want to be that again! My goal is 20/10 - that is 20# in the next 10 weeks - ending just before my 61st birthday!

To do this is I will:

Walk 90 minutes a week (minimum)
Eat a sensible diet of lots of lean protein, fruits and vegetables - low/no carbs (they are my downfall!)

I'm putting this out there to you all, called my best friend, and my daughter for accountability! Thanks for being here! =)

♥One day at a time - this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.♥ www.theurgetopreserve.com

Hello! I'm back with Sparks People after a break during the holidays. I'm glad I found this team to help me relight my spark. This time around my goals are to relight my exersize program, relight daily nutrition for me and my husband, relight my weight loss of 11 pounds, set up my profile page and learn how to use my new serger sewing machine. My spark hasn't been too bright lately, but Winter in the GPNW will do that to me. So I'm looking forward to the Spring and Summer with the warmer, sunnier days and my goals a little further along. Thanks for being there for me Sparks People - love it!

Hi Sue, welcome to team. Hope you will find some motivation here in SP and team. I can totally understand your situation and how you feel. A year ago, I was 35 pound heavier then today. I am happy that I have lost the pounds as of today. However, with in the time period, I've been up and down with my weight..( I just posted blog about my human revolution.) Life is not easy some time and for me each life time event will put me to states of depression and feels like I'm kind of in coma for mentally and physically. I wasn't even realizing I was doing binge eating. I was just comforting my self with foods, especially the sweets. That was in last may and got back on the Track again in September. Since then I've been doing well on my healthy eating and exercise so far. I had to start all over but finally I've lost some pounds and hope to keep going. Good luck on your health journey. If I can be any of your help please, let me know. Take care.

Hi,
I've just joined this team.
I was looking for some motivation to get started on the bandwagon again and thought this team would be a good one to start with.
My name is Sue. I am 57, a wife and a mother of 5. Two still at home.
I have been with SP for almost 3 years and started out great. I lost about 30-35 lbs and was
heading toward my goal. I was eating well, exercising and my health was getting better.
Then I got sidetracked, not once, but about 3 times. I have since regained all I lost plus a few
more. I also have been diagnosed with sleep apnea which has prompted me to focus on
my sleep patterns more.
Then came the Holiday season last year. I made it through Thanksgiving in flying colors...ate well and within my calorie intake. Then Christmas and all those candies and cookies showed up.
I also lost track of my sleeping when my kids came home again for the holidays.
I started walking again in the fall and then the weather changed..to colder and wetter and all those fall activities started to crowd out the walks.
As if bad came to worse, when I wanted to start things back up again after the holidays, I got sick with a bad cold and so did my DD. So that slowed any progress I wanted to make
to nothing.
But now I have a reason to get healthy and lose some weight. My son is getting married this summer. I want to look my best for the wedding. Right now I do not like what I see and
don't like the thought of any pictures being taken of me. So I know I need to get up and
going once again. I just cannot seem to push myself to do much.
So I do need some help.
To begin with I know I can do at least two things...start tracking my sleep patterns again
and also tracking my eating and food habits. I do not know what to do about exercising,
moving or just getting out and doing something. I could start up some indoor videos again,
though.

So that is where I am right now. I hope that by joining this team and participating with others, it will help me get started back up again.
I sure could use some motivation right now.

Thanks,
Sue

Hi there! I just joined this team tonight. I've been a fair-weather friend to SP as of late. I love the site and what it stands for and it did help me a lot at one point. I, currently, have an 8 mo old baby boy that, throughout infertility treatments, pregnancy, and a little baby being thrust right into our lives, has all caused me to get WAY off track. I lost A LOT of weight right after my son was born and I started breastfeeding and I was really happy with how I looked. I was getting compliments everyday. Well, it's safe to say those comments have stopped and I feel like I look like I'm pregnant again. I work full-time, have a part-time job I do at home, and would like to spend some time with my little guy, so my time is stretched very thin. I'm finding it hard to find the time to exercise. With money struggles, we have just been eating crap and I know that is my biggest problem. I did give up soda at the beginning of the year, so I'm on day 10 right now and think I'm doing pretty good there.
I'm anxious for the support and motivation and tips/suggestions to how to get back on track. I'm taking it slow, hoping to only do 1 new thing a wk.

Hi there! I am recommitting myself to a healthy lifestyle and weight management. I have been following WW for 15 years and as one who either has little to lose (about 10 Pounds) or is maintaining I am finding little support. What I need is a place that keeps my head on straight, me focused and my thinking positive. I had been using The Beck Diet Solution but got off track when life happened - (3 moves in 18 months and the caring for and passing of my 16 year old dog). I am anxious to get on with my life - so here I go. I am loving the motivating aspect of this site.

Hello,

I've had some health issues and have gotten off track, but I am back to Spark People and hope to lose weight and gain health. I am restarting my fast break with recording my food each day, journaling three times a week, and exercising 10 minutes each day. I can do this! WE can do this!

Welcome Needing help5!
I am telling myself if I can show some restraint through Thanksgiving, then I can get through anything. I am going to up my exercise, track everything but if I go over only 100- 200 clas, I will be happy

hello, I am starting over, again. I can't seem to keep up and after a week or so, I quit because it is too hard. My fat clothes are to tight and I know my diet isn't healthy. Something has to change. I doubt starting the week of Thanksgiving isn't the best time to start, but if I don't do this now, I will always find an excuse not to start.

Hello everyone, Hope you all are doing great for Relighting your spark.

I have been a member of Spark People couple years now. But was never serious about my weight problem ( I should have..but I didn't, I was avoiding to see the truth..) and had not even created a personal profile when I joined back in 2007. But this time, I have recently created my profile and I am ready to take another challenge in my life. I hope I will keep going and lose weight like I once did. I am looking forward to interact with all spark people and become healthy together. Thanks.. Mickey. (^!^))

Guess I need to RE-introduce myself. I see that I introduced myself over two weeks ago. Unfortunately, I have done zip, zero, nada to meet my goals during that time. I just can't seem to get myself moving. Today I am committing to tracking every day for one week no matter what. Starting now! So there!

About 3 years ago I lost 40 pounds sparking. I have been through a lot of changes in those three years (job change, state change, marital status change).. Anyway, I noticed that mthe pounds have started to creep back on. Now that the rest of my life is in order, it's time to get those extra pounds off.
.....and I missed my spark friends!! emoticon

HI, I'm Dawn a mother of 2 young boys (2, and 4 in December). I am at home durning the day with my kids, and work 2 evenings a week at a Career College. I had lost 40+ pounds after my second was born using sparkpeople, and for almost the last year now I have been bouncing up and down with the same 8 pounds. I have come here to commit myself to loosing the last 10-15 pounds that just don't want to budge. I can do this, I will do this!

I was pretty faithful on SP up until about 6 months ago. Then, I just felt really burned out and ended up needing to take a break. But I'm back, and saw this team. I knew this was a team for me -- I need to relight my spark! I am 42 years old and live with my husband in east central IL. We have no children, just furry ones -- a dog and a cat. I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome so exercise is very challenging. My first re-sparking goal is to track every day for 30 days.

Wow, it is nice to not feel alone. Reading everyone's story is a revelation and gives me much strength. In also am returning to SP after a year and half break. I had a baby boy in November 2011 and have struggled to reignite my spark ever since.

I am almost finished my first week and feeling great. Now I know where to come to keep up the energy.

Have a great day!

I had lost about eight pounds on SparkPeople and then got out of the routine of tracking points and just fell back into bad habits. Too many restaurant meals, ice cream stops...you know the story! emoticon So! I am back with a vengence! I have some some new jeans that I want to wear! I have grandchildren to keep up with! I have a trip to London planned for spring! I seem to do well for a while and then lose steam. Please send perseverance and positive energy my way. Thanks!

I am a dachshund mommy. Mine is named Buddy. He's a 10 year old black and tan short-haired "mini". He needs to do some sparking of his own. He's not too mini these days. Hopefully my increased walks will help him too.

Nice to meet you, and we are soo worth this! emoticon

Hello all. I am a first timer here, but relate to the on/off lifestyle change roller coaster. I am at the point where it is a life or death choice for me. I can choose to be a healthy, active mom and do the work i need to to get there, or I can choose to leave my kids early. I am looking for a place that will provide a nice kick in the pants when I'm making excuses.

I look forward to getting to know some of you better.
