I'm new to the forum, too. I hope there's some good activity here - I could use the interaction with other mamas losing weight.
I will start by saying a little 'pardon' - I'm not as open as others about some personal info, so I may be a bit vague at times. I feel SP is safe, but my hubby was in the intelligence business for many years and is very cautious about posting details on the internet in any form.
That being said, I, too, have 4 little ones, homeschool, etc. etc. I think there are some of us that have an awful lot in common! I am working toward weaning my kids off of so much TV (my own fault), and myself off of mindless eating and finishing their plates!
Over the last two years our family has gone through some major changes and it has stressed me over the top! I ate to cope with it all, and then a miscarriage and another surprise pregnancy just added to the weight.
So, now our newest little one is here and I'm ready to get going and get this gross excess body off of me! Of course, I'm also down with hip tendonitis, thanks to my little butterball while I was still pregnant. We're going on three months now, and it hasn't healed up. I'm waiting (impatiently) for it to clear up, because until it does, the doc says no exercise!
So, I'm working on staying in my calories and adjusting my diet to a more healthy one in the mean time. I've been noticing this week that even when I'm in my range, my fat intake is way over the recommended amount. I need to take a closer look and see what I can do about that...
