Congrats on quitting! Is it possible that you replaced on bad habit (smoking) with another (eating junk)? Or did you used to take "smoke breaks" which would get you up and moving for a few minutes, but now you're sitting at a desk non-stop?

Hi everyone...I am 42 years old, on april 20th i will have quit smoking a year ago, now i have all this weight i have to loose because of it. Been trying off and on for about 6 months now to loose the weight but just not succeeding at all. A week ago i started dieting again, low carbs high protien, been feeling really good about it this time(who knows maybe that will make the differance).thought i would give sparkpeople a try for support. looking forward to sharing the good and bad days with you!!
