Welcome.
Water aerobics is a great idea. I have a back injury from a car accident. but I do water aerobics and feel amazingly better the next day. I do them w/ our local rec program through the school and it is like $2 a class. That is better than any gym membership.
In the meantime drink water. You will be amazed at how many calories you can eliminate by just drinking water.

Don't tell God how big your mountain is. Tell your mountain how big your GOD is.

Hi, I'm new here too :)

Have you tried water aerobics or simply getting in the water and moving around a bit? I have a friend who has a horrible time exercising, but she gets in that water and it's a different world for her.

Also, it's not always about losing weight anyway, I have to remind myself regularly that it's more important to focus on healthy eating. I know, easier said than done, but I try. It's hard to break old habits that is for sure.

I don't have any antisipation of losing a great deal of weight. My body simply doesn't let me do a lot of exercise, with increasing arthritis and a knee that evenually will need replacement. The other one has already been done.
I do however want to keep from gaining weight and want a way to track what I eat each day. Keeping a food diary just doesn't seem to work for me.
I have 2 brothers and a sister, all who have diabetes. So far I have not developed it. I hope by watching my food intack now, i can control that, at least a little.
