Hi, I'm laurel. I spent most of my adult years as a vegan, but was lured away by my omnivore husband's tasty food choices - my fault not his, he's always been cool with my veganism.
So after years of bashing my head against the wall trying to recover my vegan self - I am accepting that it may never come to pass. My diet is mostly vegan, but I stray. Time to accept that perfection has become the enemy of the good for myself, and that this is okay.
It feels good to accept my lack of perfection. My diet will be mostly free of animal products, but probably never entirely, and that's okay. All we can do is our best.
