Welcome aboard!

I've found without question that the best way to lead others to a more plant-based diet is by example - to lead with your fork, not your mouth. ~Bernie Wilke

Thank you K for your reply. You make a very good point, one I've never thought of - thank you for the shift of my thoughts. emoticon

Welcome Laurel. Just think if all people just reduced there dietary animal intake by 2/7ths how different restaurant menus would look. Sometimes non radical change is the kind that lasts longer, is easier to share and makes shifts in the economic base. We are all on a journey towards our own goals...hope you find support with us.

Hi, I'm laurel. I spent most of my adult years as a vegan, but was lured away by my omnivore husband's tasty food choices - my fault not his, he's always been cool with my veganism.

So after years of bashing my head against the wall trying to recover my vegan self - I am accepting that it may never come to pass. My diet is mostly vegan, but I stray. Time to accept that perfection has become the enemy of the good for myself, and that this is okay.

It feels good to accept my lack of perfection. My diet will be mostly free of animal products, but probably never entirely, and that's okay. All we can do is our best.

Cheers everyone. Great idea for a team.
