Welcome to the team TLDENNIS5,

I will have to agree with you, my digestive track feels much better without meat.

Hi Maria,

Great tips! I think I'll take a swing at that salad idea this week. Sounds simple and quick enough (right up my alley!). However, I think I'll substitute that bacon with turkey bacon. Pork and I aren't really getting along that well these days (:

I look forward to hearing more of your terrific ideas!

Hi there TLDENNIS5 and welcome to the team!

I make a lot of veggie curries in the crockpot, even my meat-loving BF adores them.

I add a little meat to salads, just to perk them up - my latest trick is to add some warm crispy bacon and some avocado to a bowl of lettuce & tomatoes & cucumber. Yum.

Good luck with your goals, keep in touch!

Hi Team,

About two months ago, I had one horrible weekend of digestive issues that left an undeniable impression on me. I knew I hadn't been eating right, but this was a huge wake-up call. So went two weeks without meat - just veggies, fruits, and whole grains. I can't tell you what a difference it made. I was actually shocked at how well I was sleeping, how my quickly my sinus issues diminished, and how much better I felt.

Since that time, I've slowly integrated poultry and fish back into my diet. But I need some fresh ideas on how to do something besides grill and sauté everything. I'd love to be a new "Flexitarian" and get in on all the unique and tasty recipes that will help me enhance my meatless days of the week.

Also, I'm kind of new to SP and I need friends, so please go by my Spark Page and 'friend' me. Thanks!
