I start it tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to how I do on it. I'll blog about it daily.

Yes! My Dr also suggested the "Fast Diet" for my high blood pressure. I assume it's the same as the Daniel Fast. The more and more I am learning about nutrition, the more I realize how important the leafy's and such are important to us.

Good luck with the chemo and for goodness sakes keep us posted. We are all here for you, even if only through the net

I'm also sorry to hear about the chemo.

I read the blog and that Daniel Fast sounds very intriguing! I hope you'll keep us posted about how you feel while you're on it.

I'm sorry to hear you're having to go thru chemo. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
You might want to try the Daniel Fast like I'm going to be doing. It's supposed to give you all kinds of energy. After 10 days I'll be adding back a few of the foods on the no list but it should help to show me what I don't need to be eating and if I can stick with it 10 days, I can stick with it for as long as need be. I have a blog up listing the foods allowed and not allowed. You might be interested in checking it out.

Hello, flexi-veg folks. I read some of the posts and you guys sound like just what I need -a willingness to try something new tempered with a practical approach.

My doctors advised me to try a vegetarian diet during chemotherapy; however, they are not fanatics about it. Sweet potatoes and leafy greens rank high on their list. A bowl of ice cream can be helpful on certain days too.

My favorite thing when cooking is a menu plan of complementary flavors and textures. I know there are many specialty items when you really get into vegetarian cooking. As a beginner, I would like to stick with the familiar items.
