I have not become a fan of tofu yet, too soft. It is like eating bean jelly. I much prefer tempeh and TVP. I have read that to make tofu firmer you can freeze and then thaw out before cooking. I have a block in the freezer right now and will probably stir fry it this week.
I've found without question that the best way to lead others to a more plant-based diet is by example - to lead with your fork, not your mouth. ~Bernie Wilke

Hi all! I've been active on SP since last August, and it's been a life-changer for me. I'm married, no kids (unless you count our 2 cats), active in our church, work as a nurse, blog regularly, and have been making steady progress toward getting healthier. From an extremely unhealthy diet and sedentary lifestyle, to eating far healthier and becoming active. And I'm enjoying it! In the past couple of weeks I've decided (to my husband's dismay) to have a vegetarian-only day once a week. I just discovered - to my shock - that I like tofu, but I don't know quite what to do with it. Today I posted a plea for tofu recipes on my blog. If you're a blogger, feel free to click the link below & link up your favorite tofu dishes. If not, can you please share them here?
Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let the pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place. - Kurt Vonnegut.
