I need to add ground mullet to the list. A friend shared some last week and it had an awful taste.

Hi Linda, welcome. Catfish is best breaded and fried which is probably why I never eat it. Done right though, it is good. I think they have farm raised catfish now that is readily available.

Catfish are bottom dwellers and are scavengers. I haven't had it since i was a child. Most restaurants in the south has it on the menu.

Welcome! That is interesting about catfish. I don't know if I've ever eaten it... does it taste different from other fish?

Why no catfish? Just curious. I have never been able to eat catfish, never even wanted to try. Can't get past the fact that when I was young I stuck my hand in a bucket of cat fish my dad caught and I swear that thing bit me!

I am a pescatarian. August will be my second year with no meat. I eat fish and salmon with the exclusion of catfish. Trying to get more protein in my diet without adding so much fat.
