I love the term flexitarian! I am an omnivore, but I find that I just don't feel as good if I eat meat every day. My three favorite proteins are chicken, eggs, and soy. I also love fish and seafood. I love a good steak on special occasions, but I eat very little red meat in my day to day life - for environmental reasons, for nutrition, and because too much red meat just makes my body feel heavy and bloated. I also was an ovo-lacto vegetarian in college and part of my early 20s, and I never lost my love of all the non-meat recipes and meat substitutes I discovered then.
