AZLADY2U, it's okay. Many of us have felt and are still feeling just like you are. Take a deep breath and start with baby steps. Your age is irrelevant in this, but your nutrition and attitude are everything (speaking from my own experience) so, put on the and stretch, then walk yourself to the end of the block and back every day.
That's how I had to do it, and my house was only 3 houses down to the end of the block! I'd walk that when nobody was outside to watch me. Then, when I got that down to a wonderful feeling, I started my walk up the street. Many more houses to get up the street & I still love my late night walks under the cover of the mist, stars & moonlight.
But, now... I'm walking in the daylight, and sometimes, I wog (walk a little- jog a little- walk a little- jog) and it's my walkin' woggin' tweet tweet walkin' woggin' that's been my goal that I'm just now reaching and not on a daily basis- yet. Sometimes I can walk 2 miles a day now. It's not going to happen over night- lifestyle changes take time.

I certainly understand where you are coming from! But age is NO excuse! Just start with 10 min. a day and add on as you get stronger. The results will amaze you! You will be so happy just one year from now and so will your grandson. Trust me!

Does your mind say, " let's do this and this and this today ? But your body screams no.no.no..Age has alot to do with it BUT the worst resistor is the WEIGHT. It can literally glue you to the chair. Yesterday I took my little grandson outside and after 2 walks up the very short sidewalk I had to pick up this screaming little boy and go back in the house. WHY...because I am not able td do much walking because of my weight. I want to lose weight so I can take this 16 month old bundle of joy out and about.
