Hi Carolyn! I'm new to this team as well. I have read several books that recommend going totally vegetarian but my head is not there yet. So I am adding more beans, brown rice and fiber to my diet plus lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I am anxious to hear from those who have been practicing these way of eating for a while.

Hello, I am Carolyn! I am new to this team and to this way of eating in general. For almost a week now, I have been trying to overhaul my diet a bit. I've never needed to have meat every day, but I am now making a conscious effort to eat it less and, most importantly, incorporate nutrient-rich foods in its place. I am bringing in fruits and veggies to my diet in a way that I never have before (since they have usually been minimally present). My next goal will be to add in some more non-meat protein sources into my diet.
