Hi there happy semi-veggie people :)
Just wanted to drop a line to introduce myself and check out how these boards work. I just joined SparkPeople about a week ago and I'm still getting orientated with all of the nifty tools and features. I actually joined through the advice of a couple of people over on 43Things.
I'm slowly cuting out meat in the meals that I eat. I don't have any quelms in eating meat, it was a slow and gradual process towards eating cheaper. I later realized how easy, quick and yummy quinoa salads were.
Then I started getting into Mark Bittman's blog. I discovered my love of wheat berries through a Minimalist article. I've yet to buy his cookbook "How to cook everything Vegetarian" but I've flipped through it, it's a little bit intimidating actually.
I'm slowly rediscovering bean salads, but I'd be open to anyone else's quick and easy meal suggestions.
I'm tracking what I eat over at 43T, I find the text format a little less overwhelming for the moment. I'm trying to match it up to eating what the Canada Food Guide suggests, but it's a hit and miss project for the moment. Slowly, piece by piece, I'm sure I'll fit this all together.
Looking forward to getting to getting to know you all and figuring out how SP works exactly so that I can move towards my goals.
