Welcome, Joy!! :) A Pescatarian is someone who eats fish, but no other animal meat :) I actually started out being pescatarian, but have migrated to vegan through some research on health and the contaminants in fish. I'm really enjoying my journey!! :)

Hello,
I am New to the team. My name is Joy. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you better. I am trying to get back to a Flexitarians Life Style. Since my family grew up and left home I have almost completely stopped eating vegetables. So I need to get back to healthy eating. I never totally was into healthy eating habits but want to really give it a try. I have a question for BREEFAWN,or anyone who can answer: What is Pescatarian? I never heard of that.

I would look for smaller fish (salmon, red snapper, etc) :) I try to only eat fish 2-3 times a month because of mercury and other trace in them. I also have stopped eating dairy and eggs because of some research that I'm doing :)

Welcome! I've been trying to incorporate some non-fishy fish into my diet but get a bit sick from the oily kind. Do you have any good suggestions?

The fact is, that to do any thing in this world worth doing, we must not stand back shivering and thinking of the cold and danger, but jump in, and scramble as well as we can.

Hi from Colorado! I don't think I could do the fish thing. LOL I'm only partial to shellfish and a few fish that DH cooks.

I see you lost 40 pounds--congratulations! I'm going to have to visit your page soon. Until then, nice to meet a new team mate!emoticon

Hi, I'm transitioning BACK to a pescatarian diet. I am making this transition to help myself meet my health goals, as well as to increase the amounts of fruits/veggies that I eat. I truly love vegetarian dishes, and was very excited to see this team, since I also eat fish. :) My hubby isn't so sure about the transition, so he has poultry about 2x a week, while I sub tempeh or tofu.
