Adding strength training may help. I notice that my weight loss slows down or stops when I slow down or stop strength training. You don't even need gym equipment, SP has a great library of things you can do at home.
Thanks for all the advice...I'll definately give it a try. Am thinking of adding some strength training at the gym here on base in the evenings after my walk to mix it up a bit. I live on base so I'm going to stop by the nutritionist also. Thanks so much for the encouraging words. Good luck to you! Would like to add you as a friend if you don't mind.
I had the same problem as you not getting enough calories. I am kinda stuck right now also, I've lost 20lbs but now I'm just staying where I am and it's frustrating. I have had people give me advice and I think the best I have heard is to change up my workout routine. Our body gets used to doing the same thing all the time, also calorie wise people have suggested going over or under my calorie count from time to time....so these are the things I am going to try. Welcome to the team and good luck on your weight loss journey.
Hi my name is Michelle and I just joined this spark team. I am an air force wife on JBLM. My husband is retiring in the near future and I'm hoping to have lost at least 18 of the 30 lbs. I have to lose by then. I walk 4 miles every day 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening, play wii tennis for at least an hour per day and just cant lose the weight. I wasn't eating enough calories, so I adjusted my fat, carbs, and protein as close as I can to the daily meal planner with no results. Any suggestions?
