Thanks, ladies.

Now that the tropical storm is over, I have a white dog with mud up to his chest. Looks like he won't be sleeping in the bed tonight. I will wash him tomorrow during my cardio.

He's just going to go out there and go mud-boggin' again this evening, so why wash him twice? Can't wait til the yard dries out!!

Welcome! It is wonderful how animals can sense things with us and help us through. You can be the person your dogs think you are!

My dogs have lots of energy - even the one with arthritis - so I am trying to be the person they want me to be. More active, more time spent in the yard playing. Heck, more time outside period. I have become somewhat of a hermit since my accident. That helped me pack on the pounds, and I lost my 10-year old Dobie last year. But my rescue dogs are trying to bring me back from a pit of pain, desperation, and depression.

I have a bulldog/Eng Springer Spaniel Mix (Mr. High Energy) and my roomie has a Border Collie Mix (Mr. Low Energy). If we can get them both somewhere in the middle, maybe I can get better along with them. They are my constant companions and my solace that someone needs me everyday so I have to get up for them.
