I've been on Sparkpeople for 2 and a half years, lost 45 pounds, and now have gained back 20!! so, needless to say, I want to lose that again. My best exercise is walking because I can do that anytime of the year, and it's free. In nice weather I do it around my neighborhood, and other days I try to make it to the mall and walk for while there. I do have a treadmill but I find it's not as effective as actually walking, moving myself along the pavement or floor. I do try to eat nutritious food most fo the time, although I do have some lapses. I gave up wieghing and measuring everything because it took so much time, but I probably should go back to that because it did help me know when to stop eating for the day. But, the biggest thing for me is exercise. If I miss a few days, the pounds start creeping up again. My busy schedule is sometimes my worst enemy! Good luck and I hope we both make progress!

Hey Guys,

So I've been a member of Spark People for about two years, but I'm just getting serious about losing the pounds. I have a long way to go before I'm at a comfortable weight again, but I am excited about engaging in this community and meeting like minded people. To begin with, I was hoping that you guys had some tips for staying motivated as well as your favorite exercises. Glad to be here!!!
