Congratulations on your goal....4 pounds to go...Wow!!!!!
Yes, I've used my "Spark" membership as a part of one of my presentations. Afterwards, a few people logged on...however, no one joined.
Like you, I'm surprised that more Toastmasters aren't on board. However, we all have very busy lives (I spend a great majority of my work life on the computer) which is why I'm not very active on the web-site.
There are some great friendships and connections that result from Spark. I'm heading to Chicago at the end of the month (from Los Angeles) -- yet another business trip...and I'm planning to meet up with Peggy (one of our team members). My goal was to attend one of her club meetings, however, my time won't permit that. The great news is that at least we'll be able to see each other face to face.
Thanks for your post!

Hi, I have been active on Sparkpeople for almost a year and have lost about 44 lbs. I gave a speech to my Toastmaster's group last night on achieving goals (even though I am still 4 lbs shy of my goal) using my Spark experience as the example. Thought today I would check to see if their was a Toastmaster's Team on Spark -- And, Lo, here I am. I think the philosophy of Sparkpeople is very close to Toastmasters. I am surprised there are not more Toastmaster members on the Team. Has anyone else used Spark at a focus for a speech?
