MSLOVELY, I agree with you, I feel so good after lifting weights. I did 20 minute TJ after BC2 this morning and I felt like I had more energy than usual. I don't remember feeling this good after a P90X workout--maybe because CLX works more muscle groups per workout?

I used 10-15 pound weights this morning (I used 5-15 with BC1), I can definitely handle the heavier weights.

I am also a Beach Body Fanatic. I have P90, P90X, Slim in Six, Slim Series, YBB (and the add on videos), TJ, TJ3, and CLX.

First off - Hi Lenkees! (I didn't know you used this site too!) Yah!

I started April 2. I was going to start the last phase of P90X for the second time with Insanity (a hybrid) and I started to resent the whole thing so I jumped ship and have started ChaLean. I love it so far. My alarm didn't go off this morning, because I didn't turn it on, that would help. So I will be doing Burn Circuit 3 when I get home.

I love that the workouts are short and to the point. I am very sore today, and was more so yesterday. I am hoping to lose 11 pounds. This is a lofty goal. I had great results my first round of P90x and then Insanity. I lost 10% body fat. I got derailed at the beginning of March and gave up on eating healthy and now I am paying for it. I am hoping to get to 15%. I WAS at 17.3% (down from 27.65% when I started P90X Round 1 August of 2010) in January, I think it has gone up a bit. I hope to post it next week if I can get measured. No weight was lost during that time!

It is amazing what the body can do or blow up to in a month. So usually I would go for 127 and this time I am going for 124 eating as the guide specifies. I have to take it one day at a time. I love the food guide with ChaLean. I will eat all that it suggested, well most, so it is nice. I will get pictures this weekend - even though I started a week ago. I didn't do it my second round so that may have a little to with the failure of completing the program, plus the workouts are so long and I know what to expect so it was easier to just skip and not get back on track.

Good Luck. I look forward to sharing progress with you all.

Hey Sirena!

You already know I started yesterday so we are on the same track! Today was my rest day but rest I did not. I did C25k training and took me usual Tuesday Zuma class. Tomorrow Burn C2 for me! Might toss in a Turbo Fire workout to kick it up a notch. I love CEX but def not enough cardio for me. I need to get in a daily fix of cardio.

It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up.

Hi Everyone!

I did Push Circuit 1 this morning and had no back pain...this is a biggie for me! I am also doing other workouts too. Today I also did Start It Up from Slim in 6 and in the afternoon, I did my first Zumba workout...I skipped the basics and went to cardio party...maybe I shouldn't have but I still had crazy fun!!

Sirena, my Biggest Loser: Power Walk DVD is on it's way...should get to Jamaica by Monday/Tuesday! Woohoo!!!

Ya I am trying to do her whole program but I am doing additional stuff too.

So ontop of the CE schedule I have:
Tuesday - yoga, short run
Wednesday - Zumba
Thursday - Short run, Yoga
Friday - Step
Saturday - distance run

But I am not doing the cardio and yoga CE DVD on Saturday. The distance runs are enough cardio and I am getting enough yoga.

The only problem is I have not been able to do the yoga yet since I hurt my back. I have been sleep nutty, and it is hurting my back.. but I am doing everything else.

If you want to be what you've always wanted, you have to give up what you've always been.

I just started on 4/4/11 too! I have never done any of the intense programs like P90 or Insanity-it seems way too hard for where I am physically right now. I feel a little sore, so it probably means I need to do more weights from what she says...I think I am going to give it a week and see how it goes.

I am not sure I can do her workout schedule either. Tuesdays are sort of a light day for me, so it is a day I need to work out. I may try to squish them onto the weekend, or add a cardio day, but not sure what to do either! Hopefully I will be able to squeeze a workout in during lunch today at least!

That's great! I am doing the burn it off and another cardio DVD today. Not sure which one to do...I have a large collection and always have a hard time finding one - lol. We'll see.

I am making my 2 rest days Sat & SuN so have to squeeze the others in during the week and rearrange my Sat & Tuesday.

I did abs today since I couldn't fit iti in yesterday. Also did the burn circuit 3. I am using mostly 8,10 and 15 pound weights. I am goping to have to steal my husband's 20# ones soon.

I started with 7.5 for Burn circuit 1, then realized that was too light. Burn circuit 2 I lifted 10's, and that was better ... but I was not completely failing. So I was going to do 12s on Burn circuit 3, but it was the same muscle groups and my arms felt like if I did any heavier that I would hurt myself. So I stuck with 10's. Not willing to injury myself for pride, been there and done that. ;p

This week I am using 12s. OWWW. ;p

Hi!
I did it around 12:30pm and then did cardio later in the afternoon. I am a fan of exercising 2x a day.

I started a blog on my page to list what I did and how much weight, etc. It will let me track my progress better. It seemed too easy when I previewed the DVD last night, but it was hard. I went as heavy as I could, but there were about 3 exercises I think I could have done 5 more lbs. I also did a couple of extra reps at the end - for an extra burn.

It was short and sweet - I like that. I logged 180 calories, but my HR read 446. But, I just count 200 or under for weight lifting.

I am feeling soreness already in my arms...this is very upper body intensive. I think more than lower body - for me at least. But that's okay, I need more work on developing upper body and just burning fat on lower body.

We'll see what happens.

Jamaica! Lucky girl!
Thanks for your input. Yeah, I think I will follow protein and calories...but eat my own thing. i need to see the booklet and determine if I can or want to follow the actual food.

Thanks for the well wishes - you too!!! I will be close behind - yay!

Hey!

All the best! I am in month 2 - Push Phase but I will still cheer you on!! I don't follow the nutrition guide much. I am in Jamaica...we have different tastes. I create my own food plan by experimenting what works well....I do however, try to maintain the same amount of protein etc.

Hi!

I see a lot of people listing their start dates. I have done in the past P90x and InSaNitY, but got totally "untrained" over the last year. I decided to start with a program I am not familiar with, so got ChaLean Extreme. I get my package today, so should be ready to begin on Monday.

It would be fun to find some buddies that are looking to start with me on Monday and stick with it until the very bitter end. We could just post progress notes, nothing fancy.

I plan on working out M-F and take Sat & Sunday's off. I will try to follow the nutrition plan whre possible, but that's always hard to do. I can just stick to eating as much protein I can and watch the calories.

My goal is to lose fat, but also to get some muscle back on or at least maintain what I have. I am hoping muscle memory will work for me.

This program will give me a purpose and goal to work towards over the next three months. After this program I plan on taking a few weeks to do other DVD's for a month (like Biggest Loser, Cathe, etc.) and then will restart P90x later this year.
