Hey everyone. I've been thinking of becoming a Pescatarian all year so I finally decided to add trying it for a month on my bucketlist and my challenge starts September 1st. I have folders on my flash drive full of recipes and I have a meal plan for the first two weeks already planned out along with a shopping list for week one. Wish me luck!

Hi BABCIATEA, Do you have an Aldi's Store near you? This is how we can afford this lifestyle change. We buy all our Wild Salmon and shrimp there, most of our Fruits and veges. Thankfully our local Shaws market has a huge Vegetarian/Vegan section at reasonable prices due to a 7th day Adventist College near us. We are able to eat well on 200.00 per month for the two of us. We liked the taste of meat too but no longer wanted to put what is in US meat in our bodies...like Growth Hormones, antibiotics, steroids..etc. And believe it or not....A lot of not meat "meat" is really good! Although I don't recommend too many processed foods even Vegan. I was fortunate that my Husband was 100% on board with the change. Good luck in your Journey :)

This approach appeals to me and I am going back and forth . My dear husband often brings home quantities of red meats which I try to avoid but I like taste wise so I continue to struggle balancing spouse, economy and my preference

Hello everyone, We changed to a Pescatarian lifestyle in January 2014 for health reasons and LOVE how we feel. I even started a FB page to share recipes. This lifestyle is not for everyone but we could not be happier

Hello and welcome. I am new too. I just added a breakfast post on this site from the Rosedale diet which focuses on fish as a major supplier of protein to the diet . I will try to add a new fish recipe here too as part of the team goal of trying something new each week . SPark cheers!
I like that you used the word mindful to describe your beginning into this way of life. We have to plan our shopping, dining, and cooking to support each decision we have to make to support the lifestyle of being a pescatarian. I find that there are many, many online reference sites to help with meal planning, nutrition questions, etc. It is a journey and I wish you the best of luck as you start yours.
