Welcome and congratulations

I've been pescatarian for 13 years now and could not fathom ever eating meat again. I still face some challenges finding "meat free" option when dining out. when I encounter this problem I usually write the restaurant several times it has worked for a couple of local restaurants.

Hi guys!
I recently decided to follow a pescatarian lifestyle, which has been hard considering NONE of my friends or family would dream of giving up ANY meat... so I'm glad I found this group! I was intending to go vegetarian, but I keep finding myself falling back on seafood when I'm out for a meal and there isn't a vegetarian option etc.

My reasons for giving up most meat are environmental ones. Not only do I not see how commercial meat production can be sustainable, but was gobsmacked to learn about the soil and water contamination involved - then there's all that packaging and food miles.. surely there's a better way??

Anyway, I decided that I'm ok with eating eggs and dairy still (organic and free-range), and it definately makes life easier when trying to cook meals my meat-eating partner will eat, with minimal whinging.. haha men

Anywho, I guess I'll see you guys round the team page :)
