I'm a pescatarian of nearly one year. Last December, I decided to become a vegetarian, and did not eat any meat or fish for about four months. I realized that I would have to incorporate a non-plant based protein back into my diet in order to have more options, as I am a busy social worker with not much time to find a bunch of veggie recipes. So, I put the fish/ seafood back in, and have been a pescatarian ever since.
I don't miss meat at all; however, it is still challenging to find quick meals, as many fast food restaurants don't serve fish unless it's square and on a bun. So, I eat a lot of tuna!!! Also, it is widely known that it is poor etiquette to heat up a fish dish in a community microwave!!!!! So, I save my fish dinners for home. LOL!!! Tracking my diet on SP really helps ensure that I get sufficient protein, though I'm usually on the lower end. I hope that this group will have good fish/ seafood recipes that I can use to broaden my food repertoire, while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
