I found SparkPeople on New Year's Eve and putzed around and fiddled with the site. By June, I continued to gain weight so decided to get serious. I put out a request for a walking partner and walk 2 days a week after work with the perfect buddy for me! I lost 2 pounds!! I've used the site for tracking and staying motivated, and have started swimming, bowling, and signed up for a 10k in October.
I like the monthly, rotating challenge with this team, and look forward to exchanging ideas and sharing successes with you. With your help, I won't be able to use work as a lame excuse to park in front of the tv or only socialize when it involves sitting (or eating!).
