It sounds like you have a good one if she smiles rather than yells when you tell her you can't do something. Therapists like any profession, have many different mindsets and after 27 yrs. in the field, I've seen them all and all can be useful with certain types of patients. I prefer to catch bees with honey myself.
Thank you George for the welcome. I have had the same physical therapist for three years and it has always been that beautiful smile that I see when I tell her I can not do something. She has never given up on me and I am thankful for her determination. I am very lucky she is in my life for sure...

Welcome to the team Yolanda. I have a soft spot in my heart for physical therapy since that's what I do for a living lol. Hang in there and remember that any physical activity counts as exercise minutes whether it be a therapy session, walking the dog, vacuuming the house or gardening. Just keep track.
My name is Yolanda and I really need some motivation I have not been going to the gym for two months now, this is especially painful since I went almost daily for over one year and made great progress. But that is water under the bridge and here I am. I have a neuro muscular disease and was wheelchair bound for about three years. I had physical therapy to stand on my feet again, had a knee replacement and am now walking with a forearm crutch. My exercise minutes are limited with the exception of when I am on the recumbent bike, where I can do it about 20 minutes. Now the challenge is getting there. 5/30/900
Welcome to the team, and we can do this together. Today was my first day back with almost hard core workout in over a month. I never knew that getting a tooth pulled would take me out for a whole month almost! Good luck to you!
The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

Hello everyone, I am new to the team and really need inspiration to work out after work. I work 6am - 3pm and usually once I get home, I get to deal with my "second" job. I am trying to loose my last 30ish pounds and just recently (Sun) went back into the gym after about 2 months. We can do this together.
